I had a similar situation with Error condition P3/P5. One of the ribbon guide bar screws had loosened and allow the ribbon to drag on the ribbon sensor. After trying the alcohol wipe trick mentioned on this site the error condition stopped. Thanx for the tip....

I did clean it yesterday. so it has to be damaged.

It's done but it stays under the same condition. i think this one is more related to some hardware problem. some thing like a sensor or so.

don't you think?

Have you tried to reset the printers defaults?

I do not have the EXACT procedure for your printer.
The printer that I have reset is a different model.
    They may be similar.
    My book says:
    Press SETUP/EXIT 2 times
Use the PLUS (+) or MINUS (-) to scroll through the SAVE CHANGES Choices.
When LOAD DEFAULTS displays, Press SETUP/EXIT.

I cannot remember if machine restarts or not.

Canned air is always helpful with sensors. NEVER shake CANNED AIR. ALWAYS keep canned air upright.
You may have ink on a sensor. do you have small squares of alcohol wipes? (First aid kit?) be careful cleaning sensors.

Error condition, heads open, ribon out

This is usually a sensor problem, make sure it is dust free and no labels are stuck around it. Check the label and ribbon paths are correct and switch off and on again.ronanjd_0.jpg

I have a Zebra 110 XiIII p it does print different size bar codes

Keeping up with the Drivers is a very good idea, it will fix little problems that come along from time to time. Try resetting the printer defaults by entering the menu system and exiting, at piont of exit don't save permanently but cycle around to load defaults and exit. Go back in and set the printer up again, this time exit saving permanently.

Have X3 Zebra 140Xilll printers. These printers will stop printing with a message "Error condition Paper out". But the paper is loaded. Everything seems fine. What can I do? Thanks Steve Rolland

Check and clean the sensors, also the reflective surface. Make sure there are no lables stuck to the reflective surface. Use Isopropyl Alcohol to clean.

Hi, Is it possible to run two Zebra xiIII's from one PC?

You can run as many Zebra printers as you have the connections to service with unless you are using a software program that limits you. Some of the LabelMatrix products from Teklynx will sell you 'seats' of software licenses. You can usually increment in 5's. Check out your software manual.

Error condition head open

if this is a zebra 170 xi or similar, the problem will be a sensor in the interior of the printer. Don't get scared as this is easy to fix. you will need to remove the cover to be able to view all the circuit boards.
when you have removed the cover, if you check the axle of the latch that you use to open the printhead, (the one with the two pressure knobs) and check the end of that axle in the sidde where the circuit boards are, you will see that it has a small piece of plastic about 1.5cm long by 0.5 cm wide that should turn with the axle when opening and closing.
when the printhead is closed, this bit of plastic should be in front of a small black sensor.

The problem that you may have is that either is broken or became lose.

Please let me know if you have managed to sort this or whether you will need more guidance.

obviously, if the printer is under warranty, do contact your distributor before proceeding to open the case to avoid any warranty issues.

Also, don't forget to unplug the printer from the mains before doing anything to it.

Hi, I have a zebra 110 xi||| plus which is printing extra labels.

Did you design the label? Do you have any control over the label design? This is usually a sign that the printer is trying to excede the page limit (usually by one dot row) and is going to the next label to finish. By making the label length slightly smaller, you can stop this.

Printing error condition

First clean the sensor tag and sensor head open and tape. Then perform a calibration label pressing the PAUSE and FEED buttons and turn on the printer, release the keys until it starts to move the label. Wait until you are finished and ready to print.
