If speeds still slow go int options on bitcomet and choose TCP/IP limit and change this to around 350.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Im not sure how to forward ports so i can download faster, at the moment im going at a slow 0.5KB/s ..... very rarely it jumps to 150 KB/s for a few secodns then falls back down again, peopel tell me to...

The speed of the download depends on how fast the computer that is holding the file(s) that you want can "send" the files.

Imagine one fast-food worker trying to serve 8 or 32 customers at the same time -- no matter how fast the worker is, everybody will get "slow" service. There's nothing you can do, at the order-pickup desk, to get "faster" service.

Similarly, "port-forwarding" is not the CORRECT answer to your downloading problem.

If you try to download something from a "fast" server (e.g., the latest version of Apple iTunes software), do you get "good" download speeds? If so, your computer and your router are working fine.

Forwarding ports

Port Forwarding is explained indeepth by the torrent companies help FAQs section,

Heres a link that may helps you too....

http://www.fixya.com/support/r4582466-set_up_speed_touch_5x6v6_broadband_modem

In the Admin function you can accept the ports if you have the correct servers address's
You must add them to your firewalls permission settings and then try the test again,

Note ,

Even with Port Forwarding set up,
you will also require the correct band width and downloader from the torrent site,
ie,
Bit Comet and Bitcomet Excelerator

The downloader and the high speed function, together.

Hope this helps,Misterdj

go to your router setting and try to disable all firewall, if still not work, check your port forwarding setting, it could went wrong, different router have different name for port forward. must set bitcoment port ..let say 65535 and set port in router 65535.

Listenning port bit comet

BitComet requires you to be able to receive incoming connections. If you're behind a NAT router but don't have port forwarding configured properly, incoming connections will be stopped by your router (won't get to your computer). You need to configure port forwarding, so your router knows that the incoming connections are for BitComet and will be allowed through (= forwarded) to your computer.

There are several versions of your router:
DSL-2640B, DSL-2640Bv2,...
Go here, scroll (almost all the way down) and find your router model.
On the next page, skip the advertisement (upper right corner) and look for BitComet.
Simply follow the instructions on that page - they are precise and correct.

In general: You can use ANY port, but I would prefer a listen port between 49152 and 65534 because they're classed as "Dynamic and/or Private Ports" by IANA, so nothing else should be using them by default and they're not the standard ones blocked by ISP's or trackers, but - as I said - you can enter any other port you wish.

If you have any more questions, just come back and let me know - I'm happy to help.

Good luck & thanks for rating!

Online and downloading is very slow

Hi,
Go into your router settings by opening your internet browser, clicking in the URL address bar, and typing in the router's domain address, either 192.168.0.1, or 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1, and Enable UPnP.
This is known as port forwarding.
Good Luck

Configuring

When you say download speed, are you using a peer to peer programme, in which case you will need to open a port, or are the download speeds related to general file downloads and what speed broadband do you have?
