All engines use oil - they burn it, they leak it and expell it through the breather. Some engines use a lot, some engines use very little and some seem to use none at all.
Mostly those engines that seem to use none are in fact using some but the level doesn't go down because oil contaminants bulk up the oil - condensation, combustion by-products and a small amount of fuel.
During hot weather and the longer journeys the average driver does during the summer months, some of the contaminants will evaporate fairly quickly making the oil level drop relatively suddenly.
sounds like it needs a good bath. Take it outside and wash the condenser the outside part and the evap coil. Sounds like it dirty and maybe freezing up.
Is your overflow tank on that side and full to the top? It may be leaking out if filled too high, but I'd think it would do that only untill not too full, and not only in the winter. And among the things replaced, did you replace the radiator cap?
I'm trying to do the same thing. Mine showed exactly the same symptoms as yours, but now (six months later) it will stay switched on. I'm trying to get to the lens assembly as it has some water deposits (salt!) on the inside. I've tried to find a manual that shows how the camera comes apart, but without success.
Hi
Have you checked for any leaking air pipes taking in to much air, they sometimes rip on the underside where it is hard to see, and what ignition system does the car have? make please
Regards
Usually when the indoor coil freezes up you either have dirty filters or coil but if you had this unit replaced last year your coil and filters are probably OK so you probably have a leak in the unit and are low on refrigerant.
yes let it tilt out the wondow so it can drain outside and not inside it only needs a couple of inces to raise the face of the air cond up so it can drain outside
