I have a problem with my 6610i the screen has gone blank and all my names and numbers are saved to the phone not the sim. Can you please send me pictures so I can copy how to save to sim without being able to see the icons on the phone.
borrowsimilar if not identical phone unit, then comparably follow the steps on transferring your phone contacts to SIM.. or the best solution is
bring your phone to a qualified cellphone technician and ask him to change your LCD.. changing your LCD i think will not erase your phone contacts and/or saved messages..just be cautious to avoid him from formatting your phone...
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

This happens when two or more similar (saving one number with different names) contacts is saved on your phonebook, i.e. if you've saved my number on the sim card with a name and at the same time you have my number (same number) on your phone's memory, the caller id will not be displayed, you'll only see the "Incoming Call" or "Call". So I would suggest you to please check the phonebook and delete (keep only one per number) if there are multiple similar contacts saved on your phonebook.
You can also reset the phone to Factory default, in case there's no problem with your phonebook/contacts.
You need to copy your #s to your phone from your sim card. If your #s are only in your sim card and your preferred storage for your text messages is set to "phone" it's receiving and saving according to that setting. If your preferred storage is set to "phone" it will only tag it with names that are actually saved in your "phone" not sim. *NOTE: You only need to copy to phone the people you want text name tags for. Your incoming calls will not be affected by this.
most of the SE phone have two types of contact saving
1- in phone memory
2- in SIM card memory
if u have contacts saved in SIM memory but u r using
phonebook memory then it is default
if u save any contact in phone memory u have an option too
to copy it to SIM memory
for deleting a contact it will behave like this:
for example, u have a contact saved in phone memory
as well as in SIM memory
if u delete this contact, then it will be deleted from phone
memory but not from SIM memory
and when u are called from same number
(which is not present in Phone memory but is in SIM)
it displays the name again
