You probably have water or moisture across the terminals, due either to spillage or leakage and it is tripping the earth leakage. Empty the iron out and dry it out thoroughly by placing it on a warm surface for several hours. If it still trips the power after that the element has possibly shorted to earth and the iron will need replacing.

Vacuum just quit, while in use

If the Power from the wall receptacle was OK, and you did not trip a circuit breaker, then the motor may have shut down or the on/off switch broke. Usually your house power would go out if a short circuit occurred while plugged into the house current. Check all wires, and smell the housing for any burn odor. Look at the brush for accumulated matter that collected and stopped the motor and brush from moving. Clean if necessary.

No power to Bissell 3750-E

I'd test the new fuse with a meter. I'd then plug it in and retest for power and ground to and through the switch and motor. It could be as simple as a loose or pinched wire which grounded out.

My e wave microwave appears to be in fine working order until the door is opened. It then trips the breaker and ceases working. Ater the house breaker is reset, the power is restored to the microwave...

You may have a short circuit on the INTERIOR LIGHT BULB circuit in your microwave.

This might explain why the breaker trips every time you open the door.

If so, you would have to unplug and disassemble the unit in order to access the wires and light bulb socket inside the case in order to troubleshoot and repair the problem.

If you are unfamiliar with safe electrical troubleshooting and repair procedures, please be extremely careful or consider hiring an electrician to do the work. There are some hazardous components inside which remain dangerous even after the unit is unplugged.

Good luck.

My Sebo hoover trips the house mains sockets every time I switch it on, yet doesn't trip the kitchen mains. Have replaced filters/bag to reduce load but still no good. What should I be investigating in the...

Hello,
It sounds like your vacuum is fine if it works when plugged in the kitchen outlet. It is tripping the breaker switch in the other room because the circuit is overloaded (too many things plugged in this circuit). Try unplugging some things in that room and try your vacuum again.
If it only trips when using one particular outlet, then the outlet should be replaced. I would recommend having an electrician check your wiring out.

Hope this helps

When I plug my vaperetto it trips the socket switch

Presume you mean it flips a breaker. There is short in the vac. Given that it uses water it should go to a certified repair shop.
