When i start my MP3 player, screen shows"sanndisk"
When i switch on my c140 MP3, screen shows "sandisk" and no further proceedingd. Even it do not switch off untill you have to take out the battery from the system.
I tried to connect the player in the recovery mode. I disconnected the player from the computer and removed the battery. Pressed and holded the center button, and while holding, connected the player to the computer. an Add New Hardware wizard appeared on the computer screen. Once it appeared, I released the button.

Try a "hard reset".
Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds to shut off.
With the device off, press and hold the vol + and the center select button.
Power it back on, see if that works.

You need to Have Windows XP / SP2, Wndows Media Player 10 or higher in order for the device to be recognized.
If you have these components, try changing the mode on the device to MSC Mode. Settings>Mode>MSC.
