Question about Sony Walkman MZ-NH600 Personal MiniDisc Player
I have a MZ_NH600 but I can't open it up to insert a disc. When I slide the "open" button across nothing happens. There is a minimum amount of movement on the Left hand side but none on the right hand side.
Having the hold on or off and a battery in doesn't make any difference.
CAn anyone help?
These are nice little players but are a bit fragile. I dropped mine once and temporarily damaged the lid so it would not close (but it was easy to fix). It sounds like you may have dropped it, and unfortunately you have damaged it whilst the lid was closed, and now cannot be opened. Your only real solution would be to take it / send it to a Sony repair centre and pay to have it repaired. This may not really make economic sense, as it may be as cheap to buy a replacement on the net. Something else you could do - although not recommended - is to unscrew the two little screws on the side of the lid, to see if you can gain access that way and hopefully unhinge the lid. Of course you would risk breaking it - but maybe you have nothing to lose! Good luck.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
