Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

My LG HDD/DVD recorder DBRH197 often freezes a few seconds after it starts to record - either manual or timer recording. Once I press stop the screen displays a 'poor signal' message. I never have signal issues at any other time and the machine has never given this message at any time other than just after starting to record. I hope you have some idea how to stop this happening as a HDD/DVD that can't be trusted to record is next to useless.

The recorder is connected to an external aerial witha good quality shielded cable supplied by the aerial installer. It is the first device in line to the aerial (followed by a VCR, set top box and TV).

Common problem it is the Unit not the aerial,

Check how much is on the hard drive and reduce it to less tham 50% and all should be well

My LG LRH-880 HDD/DVD recorder sometimes stops recording by itself, before the end of the programming and even if there is enough disk space left.

Somehow, my HDD/DVD recorder recorded correctly 2 times last night, even if I did not do anything specific to fix. I will keep an eye on new occurences of this problem, but it appears at the moment that the issue disappeared by itself.
