Theres updating the Firmware(which updates the product through PC)
Also Windows 7 doesnt have the back-up feature for a product in 2005
I have link to update firmware here: http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpcontent.pl?tmplt=Connected Planet&scy=US&slg=AEN&mid=Link_Software&cat=WIRELESS_AUDIO_PROD_CA&sct=WIRELESS_MUSIC_SYSTEMS_SU&grp=SOUND_AND_VISION_GR&session=20101231125310_184.108.40.206&ctn=WACS700/37B&dct=FUS&did=AEN&reldct=FUR&file=/files/w/wacs700_37b/wacs700_37b_fur_eng.pdf#toolbar=0&zoom=100
If you open the CD contents in a folder and run the Setup in XP compatibility mode, and the software should work.
<div>Good luck from there! I still can't get my PC to recognize the music center.</div>
From HDD mode on the centre, press menu and select "Station Management".
If the option is available select "Delete Station" and delete any stations listed.
Select "Add New Station" and the unit will start searching.
On the station press menu and select "installation mode"
If this option is not available, try from another source setting, such as AUX.
Once the centre has found the station, press stop on the centre, as the station cannot connect until the centre has stopped searching.
If this doesn't work, you will have to reset both units to factory settings and start again.(Menu -----> Settings ------> Restore)
sounds like you are switching off before mc has finished save, best software for transfwr etc can be found at http://www.lucia-mathias.com/wacs/, this is much easier than dmm and can upload tracks back to pc.
