Either the water line from where water runs to the dispenser is got over friezed or got clogged by ice.In that case use hair dryer to melt the frozen line. But if that is not the case then its faulty water valve. The water valve is a twin entry valve. From one side water goes to ice tray and from other side water goes to water dispenser. But in any case, if one side is working and other side of valve is not working. Then valve as one assembly has to be replaced. The valve is easy to replace and not at all costly part.If the water running line is proper clear, then its confirm valve issue.-----------

Replace the valve. ------------

You can get required parts from sears part direct online site or from repairclinic.com site.

This will help. Thanks. Helpmech.

In fact the above worked although i actually did it in reverse order and kind of read this post last so be warned. Some tips.
QUICKVIEW
Turn your freezer down to say -15 and leave for hours/overnight. I had previously turned it up to a fraction more at -18C nd this froze the line. Longer explanation....

DETAIL VIEW
If you get no water from the dispenser the first see if the ice deispense works. Assing it churns out ice then double check it is making ice. To do this fully pull out the ice maker drawer and you will see a kind of semitransparent plastic cube with some mechanism and circuitry in it. At the bottom of this is a black rubberish test button. Hold it down and hte ice trey should spint (you may need to catch the ice). At the end of its turn cycle when flat again it should fill with water from the tube. If you get water here this means water is coming OK to the freezer (stop tap on, filter working, no no blockages, and ice part of freezer valve working) which then narrows the problem for the water dispenser. A:If you get no water coming through then you need to get to the rear of the freezer, take off the rear panel), turn of the stopcock, unscrew the feed in to the valve, and turn on the stopcock. If you get no water then the problem is between the freezer and stopcock. If you get water then its probably the valve.wiring/switches are bust. B:If you got water (my case) then most probably then the switched feed from the freezer valve which goes to the dispense has become frozen since it must circulate in the freezer to create chilled water. So first turn the freezer down and leave for some hours - in fact for cnd this small difference stopped the water flow. If this still doesnt work then you could also disconnect the two outlet pipes on the freezer valve, try call from water/ice dispenser and see if water comes out of the two valve outlets. If it doesnt it the valve definitily and if it doesnt then 'somethig else' probably electrical,

SOURCE: we have kenmore side by side 106.56532400- water

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.
Check Temp inside freezer. It has to be down to about 10 or 15 degrees
This can cause slow ice making if its too high even tho its freezing everything else at 25 degrees
The ref. temp should be about 33-35
The Freezer temp should be 0 to 10 Any thing below these temps is overkill and a waste of elect
The higher the number you turn it up to is the coldest
The icemaker is 110v
See if water is in icemaker.
Pour water in Ice Maker and wait to see if it ejects.
If it ejects thenyou need to replace water valve in rear bottom of fridge(Its the part that
attaches to water line out of wall)
If it doesn't eject then it is a faulty Ice Maker.
If its leaking or no water at icemaker or door either one, then the valve at the rear bottom of ref needs replacing
First I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if freezer control is turned WARMER, which makes the Ref. colder
Also if it is getting drinking water to the door but not to the icemaker (or vice versa) Then you need to replace
the water valve at the bottom rear of the fridge. It is a double valve and one side is not working
Also this might be a common Defrost problem, Ice
is not being melted by the defrost system. The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater, heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath

The ice maker wont make ice

If the ice maker is filling, but not ejecting the ice into the bin, then you first need to make sure that you have power to the unit. If the water is not filling the ice tray then the first thing you need to do is to make sure that water in getting up to the two zone value (normally in the freezer door next to the dispensor). It it is getting there then you need to check the sensor for the ice tray.

But first completely defrost the unit and make sure the line is not frozen to the ice maker.

My GE Profile side by side refrigerator ice dispensor and water dispensor has quit working. The appliance is less than 4 years old. Wanda

The common connection between the two starts at the water fill valve. I have found also that the filter (water) if clogged, will prevent water flow to both. Change the filter first, cheapest and eaisest.

Ice Maker

The water valve appears to be the problem. The water valve ,located on rear of ref. at bottom has two (2) sides to it. One side feeds the water to the water dispensor and the other side feeds the ice maker..

Water dispensor does not dispense water. Ice maker works.

you have prime the system air out of the water lines this is easy to do
put a glass big enough to cover water dispensor outlet cause its going to project water out at you press and hold button till water starts to run smooth
these fridges will spit water at you when you prime the system at first cause theres air blockage in lines

No ice or water from dispensers

Womers, make sure there is not a lock-out on the dispensor panel. If there is, hold it in for 5 seconds and see if the dispensors come alive. Because both water and ice are not working, I would think you have a dispenser board issue. Catriver..post back.
