Question about Creative Labs Creative Webcam
My camera will not initialize. All the software etc. and drivers have been successfully installed but when it comes to initializing it says 'CTPCCam.exe has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is possible.' My machine is a TOSHIBA EQUIUM Laptop with Vista Home. No other problems as far as I know. Have tried restarting but same thing happens. Very disappointing and frustrating. Can anybody help, please?
Yup..believe what Creative says. If they state that Vista support ain't there, then that's for real. The device might be 'seen' by Vista, yet without the up to date driver, no go. Saying that the device is working, only suggest that signal is functional, not optimal.

You have a bad wire ,.. or a "Break" in your cord.
Hence the cam will not work.
I have had the same prob and it sucks!
Buy a new cam.
