Try updating the driver for the sound card. You can find drivers on the manufacturer's website.

Disable the realtek from bios, then uninstall its drivers.
Reboot
If Soundblaster is not auto detected go to Device Manager and click on menu "Search for new hardware". After your card is detected, install specific drivers
Reboot
and that should do the trick.

What you need to do is make surre that you have your recording source set to "What You Hear" or your Microphone for you to get your audio for the games. The link below will cover this.

I need the drivers for SB0410 soundblaster

Here's where you go:
http://support.creative.com/Downloads/welcome.aspx
You'll be at the main download screen and you'll have to choose the SoundBlaster model. Just fyi, I don't believe they refer to any of their models as a SB0410--but you'll probably need to do a SoundBlaster PCI or possibly a 128. Depends on the age of the card. You could look for more details on the card itself.

Install Soundbalster on Compaq desktop

well in your bios there should be a option to turn the onboard card off but if not you might have to flash the bios. if its a newer pc check the bios there should be a option for audio or you might only have the option to boot the pci slot first. if you dont have either of these let me know and i can help with a bios flash.

Upgrade card

Well, these are the minimum specs for Age of Conan:

OS: Windows Vista/XP
Processor: 3GHz Pentium IV
RAM: 1GB RAM
Video Card: Shader Model 2.0 and 128MB RAM: NVIDIA GeForce 5800 or ATI 9800

These are the specs of your computer (base):

  • Intel Pentium 4 550 (3.4GHz) Processor
  • 1GB PC2-4300 DDR2 Memory
  • Two 74GB WD SerialATA Hard Drives in RAID0 Drive Array
  • 16x DVD+/-R and 48x CD-RW Burner Optical Drives
  • Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Audio
  • NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Graphics Card with 256MB
Seems to me that you are okay. Would a faster computer be better? Of course. But as you are, the game should play alright. Upgrading to an 8 series Nvidia is worth the change, though.

NO Audio even after putting in own sound card

Difficult to diagnose from afar but go to Start>Run, then type 'dxdiag' without quotes and see if; when it does a sound and video test anything shows up.
