what you have installed or have tried to install does not support your hardware. Download and install DX9C , that should give you some 3d capability. If the device is a PC you should obtain a decent discrete display/video card for more performance

the game came out in 2007, it should have no problem running on a computer running windows 7, unless its does not meet the minimum requirements
Pentium4 1,7 GHz
512 MB RAM
128 MB Graphiccard with DirectX 9.0c & Pixel Shader 2.0
For "pixel" shader 3.0, you need a graphics card that supports it. This site has a little chart. If you can't find it there, just search for your graphics card on the manufacturer's website. If it does support "pixel" shader 3.0 or up, just update your drivers. Here are the two largest GPU companies' drivers page. Click on the one that's yours.
no there aren't any drivers, but the problem you will have is that the bios is updated to suit Vista and installing XP will cause problems with components in the notebook.
My advice is to keep Vista if you havent already uninstalled the operating system, but you will notice that your hard disk has two partitions, install XP on the other partition and have a dual boot notebook, if you have uninstalled then lend a friends copy of Vista and use your own instalation product key code on the underside of your notebook and re install.
