Upgrade DVD Writer for Samsing x05

I have a Samsung x05 notebook .I want to change dvd combo.so i purchase a new dvd writer(other make). but new writer cannot detect in BIOS

Now what i do????

My samsung dvd writer shown all songs dvd but when we are burn rewritable dvd the matter does not read by my writer dvd shown zero fill only. why please tell me that.


your CD ROM is combo drive which means you can read and write cd but only read dvd you will have to by DVD writer which is normally with all DVD rom

My Samsung combo drive does not read or write CD but it plays DVD. It does not have DVD writer only CD writer is there.


It is likely that the laser diode for CD reading and writing has burned out. DVDs use a different laser diode. If this functionality is important to you, replacement is the only option.

DVD WRITER - REDUCING OF SPEED OPTION


In the Sonic program you can change the speed in the preferences/options menu. Hope this helps.

Make sure the jumper on the back of the new drive is set the same as the old one. EXAMPLE: Slave, Master, Cable Select

may be due buffer underrun... or may be u have inserted more data than the capacity of the cd... try burning less data once... if it doesnt works contact the repair person and get clean ur drive s lens
