Effect of playing pirated DVDs in BOSE

Will playing pirated DVDs in my BOSE eventually damage my player?

Most correct. A pirated disc will not damage your player, unless there is glue, dirt... etc on the disc

Only if your users are gullible or your pirate seller makes their own discs out of explosive or gooey stuff.  Mostly it's gullibility that gets into BOSE, though.

Brand new dvds stop working in divd player

My DVD player has had continual playback problems for many months. It skips and pauses often while playing back DVDs and CDs. These same CDs and DVDs play flawlessly in other (much less expensive) players...


Might need a tune from bose repair man, Burnt dvds sometimes has problem but wipe normally fixes it. But cds i have't had problem burnt or orginal, scraches dont usally worry to much, Thats why thinking repair man.

Bose lifestyle 48 dvd black and white only


Go to the "Bose" menu screen viewing on your TV (make sure no dvd is in the player) Go to your Video controls and check your output, chances are, if your using the component output your player is set to "S-Video". Should fix the problem. Hope this helps. If it's still not viewing correctly, post a comment and I will help you some more

Format unsupported


Format unsupported simply means the unit can not read the disc. The problem is either the disc or the player.

DVDs with pictures refuse to play. Get 'format unsupported'


the 321 does not support data cds or dvds read the manual. standard DVD or VCD format only.
