Question about Apple Mac mini G4 Desktop
I have a mac mini G4 1.5 Ghz running 10.4.X. Last week the lcd screen started flickering.
The screen starts off fine when we restart. But as soon as it displays the apple logo, the flickering starts. It flickers (vertically) so bad (& wierd colors) that we can't even see well.
We tried to zap the PRAM but didn't work. Neither did restarting from Apple installer disc worked.
Then we changed the DVI connector, didn't work.
Changed to a different lcd monitor, didn't work.
Opened the computer and dust-sprayed, didn't work.
Does anybody have any idea? This mac is only 1.5 years old and is the first lemon we got from Apple. Unfortunately we didn't purchase extended warranty because I have used at least 20 different mac models (including refurbished ones) since early 90's and never had this type of problem.
Thanks for any input.
Did you check the wires? Sometimes if you pull one loose it flickers.

Does this have a graphics card or is it on board graphics? The problem could be there. Also might test with a CRT monitor.
