Electric dryers run on 208-240 volts. You need to buy a thirty amp, 220 volt power cord to match the electrical code for the state you live in. Any local hardware store, Lowe's or Home Depot will have it. BpB

Is there a reset button for Frigidaire AEQ7000EGO? Had a power surge/outage and now dryer has no power, although plugged into electrical outlet.

Good Morning Friend,

I understand you had a power surge at your home, and now your Frigidaire Affinity dryer, model#, AEQ7000EGO, has no power. I do see that you have checked to make sure that it is plugged in. I suggest checking the circuit breaker or fuse that the dryer is on. Make sure that the fuse is not blown or the breaker tripped. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Installed a heating element but dryer dont turn on

Was dryer running, but not heating before? Could be a connection that was left loose upon reassembly. Check for tripped breaker in house electrical panel. Is cord from dryer plugged in?

Frigidaire GLEQ2152ES Dryer Won't Power UP

IF you find that you have only a 3 wire feed for this dryer (and the reason for the 3 prong receptacle)...then you can not properly install a 4 prong dryer cord to it. You now have 2 choices....either rewire (assuming that it is a 3 wire supply) the entire run from the dryer breaker to the outlet location with 4 wire (typically a run of 8/3 with ground having a black, red, white and bare ground)and install a 4 prong dryer receptacle to match the configuration of the new dryers cord.....OR - you can remove the 4 wire cord and replace it with a 3 wire cord....re-using the ground strap - IF it is still in place.

This happened 2 days ago: my dryer is not working properly, it has no heat,i check for gas supply and it was ok, i check power in the electrical source coming in the dryer and is ok, i took this part in...

hi..A poor connection between the wire terminals and the
heater relay causes high current draw and damages the
terminals on the heater relay on the main control board.

Wire Scraping sound and sparks inside rear dryer drum area.

Probably the rear bearing has failed and caused the drum to rub against the heating element. Hey, is this the guy that said he heard a noise last month? LOL

Dryer won't turn on

There is a white motor in the back of your dryer near the air duct (on left) This is what is keeping your dryer from starting. You can check the part with an ohm meater. The part number (there is 2 different ones) is either a et401 or et402. You can look at the part on the internet to know what it looks like when you are fixing it. Luckily the part is inexpensive.

I get an E9E fault code on my two year old Frigidaire front loading dryer.

The error code E9E indicates that low voltage is being detected at the control board of the dryer.

This could be caused by the following factors:

* The electrical power supply to the dryer is bad. Check the dryer outlet for proper voltage (120 volts AC).

* Unplug the dryer and check the wiring of the dryer outlet plug. A loose wire on the terminal block could cause this problem.

* If you are able to safely access the control board in the console, check the red wire that connects to the heater relay on the board.

(NOTE: The dryer should always be unplugged when accessing internal components.)
A loose wire or burned connection in this area could result in this error code.

* A failed control board could cause this problem.

Frigidaire dryer

There is a switch under the lid,Look for a slot onder where the lid rests on the dryer, there is an actuator under there where the dryer lid when shut should avtivate, this switch is either bent out of place,or the little pin that hits it when shut is missing or broke off.
