PSP problems.. Buttons accept command changed from X to O

I lend my brother my psp for a while and I don't know what did he do, but now I've a problem.. the accept command changed from X to O button like if it was a Japanese PSP. The problem starts here, I found a solution for it, but it requires erasing all my data to the default one, and I've a modded PSP, its System Software is: version 3.90 m33-3, and since it's modded I can play games I download from the internet, and it cost me money to mod it. I would be really glad if somebody is able to help me, or takes his/her time trying to look for an answer or helping me. Thanks.

Okay take your battery out and put it back in while holding R, then go to Registry hacks and change the "button assign" to X

It always goes to the network. the up and down button don't work.

You have to take the PSP apart and fix the buttons. To do this you WILL VOID your warranty if you have one. There are 4 screws in the back of the PSP. 3 are easily spotted, the last one is in the battery bay under the stick about your warranty being void if you remove this sticker. After all 4 screws are out, the front of the PSP should come off nice and easy, there you can clean and fix any buttons you are having problems with.

My scroll in my psp is broken

if im not mistaken you are talking about a problem with the directional buttons. if it is that, here's the solution for that. you have to take apart your PSP, you will see where the directional buttons go. you will have to open up the little strip that is underneath the buttons. you don't need to open up the strip completely. get a Q-tip , get it damp with some alcohol, rub the bottom contacts and the upper. after rubbing it with the tip that has the alcohol, you will rub it with the other side of the Q-tip that is dry. after all this is done, you can put strips back together. they don't have to glued back together. put your PSP back together and it should work. see picazzkikronu.jpg

I have a PSP 1001 and i can't find the error code 80410E80 whut dose it mean and why cant i connect to my wierless router witch is 2 feet away from me and the psp keeps timing out after a min or two...

Sounds like there is something going on with the security key which is usually WEP or WPA and the psp may not be accepting it. Make sure on your wireless router that you don't have a key enabled on it. Best best on most routers. Hold down the reset button for 30 seconds and let go, this will reset your router to factory defaults.
Now that your router has no security on it. Try connecting the PSP to the router again. If it connects then you know the security key was corrupt. Now you can go ahead and put the security key back in. Make sure your PSP is configured to use the key so it can connect.

My psp buttons r getting jammed day by day for dust,so sometimes the buttons stop working......what to do to clean the underneath dust of my PSP???

If the buttons are sticking in, the easiest way to clean them is with a cotton ball or Q-tip and some isopropyl alcohol. Don't pour it directly onto the PSP, but be liberal with it; it dries quickly. Just dip the cotton ball or Q-tip into the alcohol and swab all over the buttons.

u need to take the psp apart for this one. take off the front cover and turn it over. remove the buttons from the back of the psp and clean with isopropyl alcohol. leave to dry. replace. then clean the touch pad of the x/o buttons with same. put back together and should now be ok. if this doesn't solve the problem its time to buy a new x/ o buttons pad. ebay £5.
