Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Copy from computer to Sharp ux300

The UX-300 is a fax/copier. It can send and receive faxes over a telephone line and it can make copies of paper documents. It is not designed to connect to a computer.
If you need a manual you may download a copy at

Trying to copy a document, but it only copies 1/4 of page and exits the document. Any suggestions

There is a dirty sensor in the transport of the original document.

The only one solution is to clean the sensors.

Thanks.

The thermal transfer paper tore during process how do I fix it? I removed the cartridge but now the fax paper just sit in tray while the rollers rolls.

Cartridge? There is no print cartridge in a thermal fax. Maybe you removed the thermal print head. Put it back! You simply need to "thread" the fax paper back through the slot that leads to the cutter mechanism. When you close the lid the rollers will pick up the paper and cut off a fresh strip. Locate the long slot for the paper.

Will not fax or copy - Given error light

The thermal roll is basically a roll of 'carbon' like paper that is used to transfer the image to your paper (terrible technolgy, and a massive waste of money for the end user....but that's another story)...it likely needs replacing -it's only good for 300-400 pages.

Copy on paper (print a picture) or copy to computer?
Frist thing simply press photo cap and start color ply watch the display!)
Second issue: you need the mfl-pro suite software installed. Windows: Press START/PROG./BROTHER/CONTROL CENTER. Here you can choose the photo cap in diffrent modes.

Copying

You should be able to open the machine up easily and see the jam. It is a very small unit and no plece for the paper to hide. Does the unit use a film ribbon to print from. If so, remove the ribbon to see the jam.

How Can I Reprint a Fax?

Here's a trick that I used on the Canon thermal transfer years ago. First take out the thermal transfer unit and roll up the black transfer sheet to the begining of the lost fax. Then reload the paper. Next get a solid black original equal and make a copy. The result you should get a negative copy of the lost fax. Repeat this step until all the faxes are recovered..
