I have a panasonic ER240 trimmer. its blade has stopped working but the motor is still working. so how can i fix the problem or from where can i buy the blades for the trimmer?

yes there is something disconnected or broken the high pitched noise is because of the lost resistance from the blades 2 years full warranty .

Your blades are stuck together.
Had the same problem: when I turn on the trimmer, the motor would hum but the blades won't move.
What I did:
1. Sprayed a ton of wd40 between the blades
2. Took a screwdriver and kinda wedged it between the blades to get them unstuck. Also removed some guck between the blades.
And it worked!

I could not find just the power cable anywhere online, but I found the save shaver on ebay for 25 dollars. You could just use two AA rechargable batteries and get a charger for the batteries. :)
