There are many reasons why wireless doesn’t work but lets look at it step by step

How it works is that there’s a card inside your laptop which detects networks “wireless only” that are in your house and near you like neighbours.

It could be you’re running multiple utilities to run your wireless, you either have to use windows utility which is normaly in your task bar but if that’s not working then another utility is using it, so find in your programs list “wireless utility” or “belkin utility” which usually does the same.

Its getting more serious, makesure your driver is installed for the wireless, if you go to the device manager and then to the network area and there makesure your wireless drvice is enabled “no red cross on it” or else if you cant find a wireless device in there then it means your wireless card is faulty and need an expert looking at it.
