Question about Samsung HC-P4752W 47" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
I was looking up how to possibly fix an issue with my TV and I came
across your post about THE DREADED 1500UF POWER CAPACITOR ISSUE.
My TV comes on for a second the shuts itself off, I can get it to stay on after about 20-30 min of turning it on/shutting itself off.
Could this be this issue? If so where and how do I look for the blown capacitor, and if so is it something that can be fixed?
Thank you very much in advance,
If its on for that long its probably not a main capacitor issue a blown capacitor of that size would
have some distortion in its shape look for bulging at the top or bottom or fluid leaks at the base
a good capacitor looks like a small tin can
from the sound of it your problem is elsewhere if the picture is the picture is good then it may be a regulator or power transistor if the picture is distorted then its in your convergence circuit.
