My condenser fan runs and blows cool air but isnt cooling down the house. Any help.

Check the outdoor unit (condensing unit). Keep in mind, because the condenser fan is running it's not an indication that the compressor is working. On a split system, there's a dual capacitor that serves the fan and the compressor. The capacitor has three terminals.
1. common
2. fan = fan
3. Herm = compressor
This is a common problem; The outdoor fan (condenser fan) runs, but not the compressor (you have to know the sound of a running compressor or you'll mistake it for the sound of the fan) doesn't, because the compressor side of the capacitor is too weak to give it that needed phase angle that it requires to start. If you're referring to the outdoor fan spinning, but no cooling, I can bet the compressor isn't working and needs a new capacitor. Very common problem, I see it all the time. Before you change the capacitor, make sure that you cut the power to the unit, and then use an insulated tool such as a screwdriver and short the terminals together first. A capacitor holds a charge even after being de -energized.Buy the new one with the same exact rating written on it as the old one. Do not mix up the wires when replacing. Write it down or take a picture with your phone

My air conditioner has stop working its blowing air inside but the fan is not spinning outside .....

If the fan is not running is the compressor not running also...if neither is running the possible reasons are 1..no power to outside unit...2..bad contactor on outside unit.is this buzzing if it is this indicates no power...3 bad capacitor,do both compressor and fan humm then quit humming and hum some more...4 high pressure switch has shut unit down because fan wasnt running if compressor was running but not fan....if your unit has this there will be a manual reset button where the lines come out of unit...if compressor was running and fan was not...1 bad fan...2 bad capacitor.. if you do not have any electrical knowhow i would recommend calling a hvac tech to come and fix unit...Thanks

The fan on my outsie unit of my grand air heat pump won't turn on. The compressor hums. If I manually turn the fan it will run but very slowly.

Your description is possibly a bit vauge for the problem it could be, but starting from the compressor, question is "can you hear the compressor running"? If you can then switch off quickly and check the cooling fan capacitor. almost certainly it has popped. If it has, and even with a new capacitor it wont start, then a complete condensing fan unit is required. If the compressor isnt running, then one of a few things could be the problem. A- The voltage getting to the compressor or the cap, is not correct which points to a problem with the board. B- If the compressor is jambed,(siezed),then it is bringing the voltage down to the point where even the fan cant run. Need to check those points to determine the next course of action.

Fan wire caught and shorted out, is there a reset on a Goodman A/C unit, repaired wire, fan running but not unit

If you are talking about the outdoor fan then if the fan is running the compressor should also be running. First check the capacitor and make sure no wires got pulled off. Some units use a 2 pole capacitor that runs the fan and compressor. The terminals will be Com, Herm (compressor), and Fan. If no wires are pulled off then check the capacitor and make sure the surge didn't ruin it. Let me know what you find or if you are talking about the indoor fan.

Outside fan motor will not start. will this keep compressor from operating?

Is the compressor running? First check your contactor and see if it is pulled in energizing the fan and compressor. If it is then check the voltage at the load side of the contactor. If you don't have voltage at the contactor then check you breakers or fuses. If the contactor is pulled in and you have voltage then check the capacitor for the fan and compressor and replace if it is bad. If your compressor is running and the fan isn't it will cause you compressor to shut down because of high pressure. If the compressor is running and the fan isn't then again check the capacitor and replace it if it's bad.

I want to program the fan to run continously

I don't see this as a 'programable' feature.

The unit is designed for the fan to run anytime the compressor runs and if you just want the fan to run all the time (without the compressor) just switch it to the 'fan/fan only' position.

Blowing hot air, compressor not kicking on, just fan ? ?

are you speaking of the outside fan or inside? compressor should be a little warm but not boiling hot. the unit could be low on freon. if low it will run a while but the compressor will overheat and shut off leaving the fan running by itself ouside. if nothing outside is running check power. if you have power check the contacted outside to make sure it's pulled in. contacters are bad about going out on goodman untis. Also ants can get under contacts.

Compressor fan

This sounds like it is caused by either a high pressure reset. Or the compressor is tripping a high temperature limit internally. One thing you may be able to do is to hose off the coil surface with a garden hose on the outside (condensing unit) this would allow the operating pressure to drop if it is dirty.

Hope this helps Ya

Compressor starts and doesn't stop

Relay for the compressor may be stuck ( Contacts welded) both the fan and the compressor should operate at the same time. Have the relay(s) checked and possibly replaced.
