Question about Radio Shack Pro-95 Handheld Scanner

Scanning Frqs but not IDs

First of all this is not my scanner, it is a friends radio (sorry -- I have 2 Bearcat 245XLTs and a Pro-2051). I have no idea what the problem is, it is only scanning on the trunked frequencies (EDACS), and not the IDs. On the other hand I have no idea if he has any IDs programmed in, or what. This is a "foreign" radio to me, so it is all confusing. Is there a simple solution? Thanks.

After further study -- he had not programed it at all, and not in the trunked mode (he had just entered random freqs in the TRSY.) One of these days I will program it.

To get it to scan id requires pushing and holding the scan button till you hear it beep then it should start reading id search accross the screen.. but do you have any ids to scan in there....oh and by the way you need to do all the above while the scaner is trunking.

Can I manually input the same frequencies from my pro 97 to a pro 2051 and receive the same audio as my 97? I know it would be time consumming, but can I do it? Thanks!

If I understand your question correctly, the answer is yes. The PRO-97 and 2051 cover the same frequencies and the same trunking systems, so you can program the same information into both. There is, however, no cloning capability between the two, so all programming will have to be done manually. Once it's done there is no way to synchronize the two units, so the chances of both receiving the same signal at the same time are remote.

I hope this answers your question.

INEED SOME CELL PHONE CODESFOR MY SCANNING RADIO

Unfortunately it is illegal to monitor cell phone calls, and now that the cellular providers have stopped using analog signals, it is also impossible to do. Even the newest digital scanners such as the Bearcat 996 and the Radio Shack Pro-106 do not support the digital format used by the wireless phone industry.

Pro-2051 No Receive Audio

try headphones to see if the preamp stage is working, if headphones work then it has to be either the audio amp or speaker. It could also be settings such as being in the am mode instead of fm if it has a key marked mode press that.

All channels locked out pro-2055

I hope this will help. It shows locking and unlocking ids while scanning and while in a bank.

Locking/Unlocking IDs Contents You can lock out IDs you don't want to hear such as telemetry, MDT's, dog catcher, etc. To Lock out an ID while scanning, quickly press L/OUT while the ID is displayed. To Lock or Unlock an ID manually: 1. In Manual mode select any channel of the bank you want to lock or unlock an ID in by entering the bank number and channel number (Ex: 001) then press MAN to advance to the channel. 2. Press PGM then TRUNK to put the scanner in program and trunk modes. You will see the bank number (0-9), list number (0-4), and the list status (ON or OFF) on the 1st line, the ID# in the list (0-29) on the 2nd line, the ID on the 3rd line, and bank tag on the 4th line (if programmed). 3. Press TRUNK (each time) to select the ID list (0-4). 4. Select the ID# (0-29) by pressing up.jpg or dn.jpg (or press and hold; faster) then press L/OUT to lock or unlock the ID. An L will appear to the right of the ID# if the ID is locked out. 5. Press MAN to exit programming. To Unlock IDs in a bank: 1. In Manual mode select any channel of the bank you want to view the locked out IDs in by entering the bank number and channel number (Ex: 001) then press MAN to advance to the channel. 2. Press PGM then TRUNK to put the scanner in program and trunk modes. You will see the ID list. 3. Press FUNC then L/OUT (each time) to view the locked IDs. Press L/OUT to unlock the ID. The next locked out ID will appear. 4. Press MAN to exit programming. Note: You cannot unlock all IDs at one time.
