Question about Panasonic Home Theater System System

Panasonic SC-PT950 Wireless Speakers Question

I got an SC-PT950 Home Theater System about 16 months ago. Until now, it has largely worked without any problems. Yesterday, however, when I turned on the system and then turned on the wireless reciever box, the light stayed a solid red rather than turning green. On the main DVD unit, W1 is flashing on the front of the DVD. I haven't gotten any wireless devices in the last year and I haven't done anything with any of the settings that could have caused this to stop working. It looks like the problem is that the main unit can no longer make a wireless connection with the speakers. I've tried calling the Panasonic help line, but they have no idea what I'm talking about when I speak with them. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks!

Yes, the old Panasonic SC-PT950 did drive the subwoofer by its own amp, such as it was.

It's never a good idea to adapt prescribed connectors to bare speaker wire or vice versa.

Speaker Level and Line Level signals are worlds apart and equipment damage may result. Your Denon (model unknown) probably requires a POWERED SUBWOOFER, to which it would provide Line Level LFE from its Pre Out.

Read the manual where it doesn't say to convert a speaker wire to RCA.

Disc wont eject

Try first unplugging unit from main, and holding the cancel button.

If that does not work try the following:
Hold at the same time the stop button on the main unit and key >10 on the remote control at the same time for about 5 seconds, until you get the word "initialised" on display. This will reset the unit to factory settings.

Panasonic Dvd Home Sound system SC-PT950 code f61

The F61 is the coded "protect mode" indication. The internal amp chip has failed. It sounds like this system should still be under warranty. Return it for warranty service. The amp chip will be replaced.

Sorry about hte delayed response. I was away in business for a few days.
