He3 dryer stops after a few minutes I pause it twice reset it and its good to go

I doubt it. The thermister changes in resistance with temp change. The resistance is monitored by the brain. E-1 usually is an eprom error most times. Your tech sheet lists errors and what to try to fix that. It is located in a jacket inside the kick plate where you access the heating element under the drum. You could have some wax buildup on the sensor strips located below the filter inside. The strips are also monitored for resistance changes associated with dampness of clothes. No dampness means no resistance so the brains thank the clothes is dry and shuts off the program. Purty clever I must say. Try cleaning the junk off the sensor strips is what I would do, so that moisture can be monitored easier fer the brains of the outfit.

Shortly after starting a load in the dryer, the dryer stops, beeps and the lighted code says E1. The grid on back wall of dryer is very hot. I am unable to find my instruction booklet. This keeps...

Hello,

The E1 error code means that the electronic thermostat is the problem. With what your describing as far as it being very hot and the E1 code,i would suspect one of 2 things;

1) the thermister is bad and needs to be replaced

2) thier is a blocked/restricted vent and or excessive lint built up in the blower housing causing the heat to be retained in the dryer instead of being vented out and across the thermister where its getting a false reading and throwing up the E1 error code

Kenmore ht3 dryer, the dryer runs for about a min. then shuts off. the code E1 comes up. i have clean the vent out from within the the dryer. is their a sensor that shuts it off or what.

The error code E1 indicates that the thermistors is open or having a very high resistance. Click on the link below for the detailed troubleshooting of the thermistor.

KENMORE, Model # 11082834100 stops while drying and gives us an erorr code E1

E1 can indicate a problem in the dryer's thermistor or its wiring circuit. You can see what a popular thermister looks like at this link:

LINK > Whirlpool/Kenmore Dryer Thermister

It should usually measure in the area of 1.5K - 10K ohms but they can be intermittent and test Ok when out of the circuit and only fail during operation making them difficult to pinpoint as the cause of problems. If all the rest checks out, sometimes the thermister just has to be replaced to see if it solves the problem or not if you have any questions message me back Thanks again Rick

Whirlpool Duet dryer runs for 1 min. and then shuts off with e1 error, I did some research and found out their is a thermal fuse located behind the lower panel. Also something about a the heater could be...

E1 error code is a problem with the thermister sensor is is located behind the lower front panel..you do NOT have a thermal fuse concern because the unit will not run at all if its blown.MAKE SURE TO UNPLUG UNIT BEFORE REMOVING THE FRONT PANEL.. ps the thermistor is mounted on the blower housing and is kind of oval shaped ,the thermal fuse is about and inch long skinney and has 2 blue wires going to it hope thus helps Good luck

Kenmore Elite Dryer Electronic Controls

You have a thermister failure. You will find the thermister on the back of the dryer under the back panel. It is about 3 inches long and oval not round with 2 wires connected to each end. It is slides in on 1 end then has 1 screw fastening it to the blower housing. You can't miss it. Good luck.
