Make sure the camera is saving to the SDMMC memory stick and not just to the camera itself. Might be best to try it out on your own computer or a friends to make sure it is saving the pictures correctly or not just to the cameras internal memory. As the card you pull out is generally considered an external memory source and in most cases has to be selected as the destination in which to save to.

thanks,
Nate

Can't insert 8GB fujifilm card into Fujifilm fine pix A330

The A330 uses xD Picture Cards, which top out at 2GB. Your 8GB card is some other type (most likely SDHC) which will not work in the A330.

Hello, my fuji film fine pix 51000 says that the memory card is protected and won't let me take pictures i just bought the card about 15 minutes ago! help

If it has a slide switch on the side of the card, be sure it's "unlocked". You may also need to format the card in the camera to get it to work properly.

Try doing a "format" of the card through the set-up menu.

Deleting pictures from memory card

The camera lacks internal RAM or space on the card to do enough caching to delete the pictures. If you were to not exceed about 60% capacity of the card the camera may be able to delete as much as you want on the card. You have to try this. If the camera has a format option for its memory card you can try it out to see if this will clean up the card. The other solution is to have a PC computer. Most of these devices are designed only for PC interface. Jerry G.

Internal memory

Hi there.
Providing you have a SD memory card in the camera and the card is empty you can transfer all the data from internal memory to the SD card using the camera's menu.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!

I just fixed mine. Put your memory card into your computer. Right click on it. Choose format. Reformat the memory card. You WILL lose all pictures stored on it.

Before putting the memory card into your camera, do the following.

Go to MENU and choose RESET ALL.

Choose reset to original settings.

When camera is done doing so, turn camera off.

Reinsert memory card after it is done being formated in your pc.
Then your camera and memory card should work great again. I just did it on my Canon Powershot A620.
