I have a 32" flatscreen somehow the remote is busted the keys on the tv itself is locked how do I reset. Please help?

You can't make a reset to this TV; without its remote control. If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service centre, or authorized dealer to your device brand. They can either give you a genuine remote control to your device, or can direct you, from where can you purchase a suitable one.
To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability.
Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device brand you have.
Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its pack. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. For more details about the set-up codes, visit the site Check this site too. Universal remote controls are available at most of the electronic spare part selling shops.
Type in the brand name of your device, in the search box [at the top right] of the display window and the Search will start at once as you type in, and will show you all the related posts. It will make surf easy.
There are two types of reset to TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset; and the other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight; will be better. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option.

    Cannot get AV Mode

There is a TV/VIDEO button on frond panel of the tv. When you press each time this button then you will able to access different video inputs. if the button is inactive the probably the micro switch for TV/VIDEO button may be faulty. also check the same with the remote. If its doesn't help then try to reset the tv to factory default setting. For that you need the remote. Keep in mind that when you reset the tv to factory default setting all the memorized parameters will erased(like channel memory, personal preference setting etc ). For reseting the tv to factory default do the following

    1.Turn on the TV.
2.While holding down the RESET button on the
remote control, press the POWER button on the TV front panel.
The TV will turn itself off, then back on again. Release the
    RESET button

To get into the fatory setup, there is a metod for Samsung TVs. You just follo these steps, and will reach there. OK

    [1] Turn the Power Off.
[2] On the remote control press "MENU" followed by 1,8,2 and "Power" in sequence.
[3] You should no see the service menu. To exit the service menu always select "RESET".

The service menu will guide you to the factory defaults. Note that upon entering the service menu, all user menu settings will revert to Factory Defaults.

If you do not have its remote control, the you will probably have to contact Samsung Electronics division in your country.

I enabled the FPA lock on my RCA 20f511T and it shut off. Now I can't turn it on with the panel on the TV or the remote.

Disconnect the power cord from the outlet for AT LEAST 30 MINUTES, that should cause the TV to reset back to factory default settings, then you can start over with initial set up,etc, after you restore power to it.
    Good luck!

I can`t switch on my g-hanz TV This is a link to a pdf copy of the owners manual for your model television. You can find all the setting and function controls listed in the manual. To reset the television to factory settings, you must unplug it from the a/c power source for about thirty minutes. This will reset the television to the factory settings. You can do the same thing with the remote control. Just remove the batteries and press the input button continuously for about 1 minute. This will drain all the power out of the microprocessor and reset the remote control to the factory settings. You can then use the owners manuals to reset the television and remote functions. On turning on the television the interactive plug in menu will appear. From here you can set the language you want to use for the television. All of this is explained in the owners manual. You will need a pdf reader and writer to read the owners manual and the writer to make a copy for your own use. I hope this information helps you with your problems with the remote control and television. Thank you for using FixYa and have a nice day!
