To resolve this problem, delete the UpperFilters registry value and the LowerFilters registry value. These values may cause access problems. To do this, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit , and then click OK. 2. Locate and then click the UpperFilters registry value. This value is located in the following registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E980-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} 3. On the Edit menu, click Delete, and then click OK.

Note If you receive an error when you try to delete the registry subkey, you may not have correct permissions to edit the subkey. Sd card format software

Start up a computer with Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7. Insert the SD card into an external memory card reader or into the computer's built in card reader. If it the first time a SD card has been inserted into the computer, Windows will recognize the SD card and automatically install drivers to read the memory card.

Go to the computer view by clicking on the windows start menu icon in the bottom right corner of the computer. In Windows 7 and Vista click "Computer". In Windows XP click "My Computer"

Right click on the SD drive under the computer heading. A dialog box with different options for the drive will appear. Click on "Format" to bring up the formatting dialog box.

Select the type of formatting (also known as file system format). In Windows XP or Vista there are several choices including FAT, FAT 32, and NTFS. In Windows 7 there is an added choice called exFAT formatting. This is an improved FAT formatting type with improved meta data capabilities. Choose the formatting type, name if the drive if desired, check or uncheck the "quick format" option, and press the "Start" button. When the SD card format is complete Windows will provide a notification.

I have fe 46 my softwere olympus master 2 was work on window xp but it dose not work on window 7 my pc can not read this camera memory card. what can i do

You should be able to access this camera's memory without installing any software on Windows 7. When connected via a USB cable, the camera's memory will appear as a disk drive in "My Computer", and you will be able to copy files from there. This may be less convenient than the way you are used to working, but you will be able to get your pictures.

Another way that people get pictures off any camera that uses memory cards is take the card out of the camera and put it into a card reader attached to the computer. Some people prefer this method over using a cable. You would need a reader that can read xD cards.

You can download a manual from Olympus on this page.

Olympus does not currently have any software updates available for this camera. The Olympus Master 2 software pages claim compatibility with Windows Vista, but not Windows 7, and there does not seem to be any update available.

I have a 4GB PNY SDhc card in a Targus reader which supports hc cards, but my windows vista won't read it.

It is your windows vista. Vista had trouble with that, when it first came out. Try going to your computer manufactor's website and there should be a driver for vista.

Card reader with vista will read all cards except 2gb sandisk

If you have another computer with xp on it, I would download the pictures of the stick first. Then I would stick the card back in the vista machine and format the card. Your vista doesn't read the older file system. BE SURE TO BACKUP IT THE FILES FIRST BEFORE FORMATTING!

I Use Window Vista on my laptop. Now my card is blocking me of taking photos

If your card will no longer store photos try reformatting the card as you would any other disk drive in Windows Explorer. If formatting does not fix the problem throw the card away and buy a new one.

Computer not reading memory card :(

I will assume you have rebooted and that the reader is enabled. Do you have any mapped drives? If so try to remap so you have Drive F & G available.

MY PROBLEM IS THAT MY LAPTOP HAS WINDOW VISTA SYSTEM AND I CANNOT LOAD MY PHOTOS FROM MY SONY CYBERSHOT DSC P73. I NEED THE PROGRAM OR WHAT I NEED TO DO?

To make things easier, you should buy a card reader. There are different types.

MS Pro Card Reader - Is ONLY for the sony memory cards

Multi Card Reader - Will read sD, xD, Ms Pro Duo, Ms Pro, Compact Flash, Smart Media, etc.

Sony has a new memory stick out called the memory stick pro duo. Your P73 does not take this. The P73 takes the Memory Stick Pro. Which is a longer stick. You can go out to best buy or ritz camera and buy a card reader (Memory Stick Pro) and stick your memory card into the card reader and stick that into your USB port on your computer. Since it is USB, this will require NO SOFTWARE.

Your camera came out in 2004. Vista did not come out until early 2007. A lot of software does not work with vista.
