Open your cellphone and clean the sensors underneath the keypad. Normally this means that the contact points are either dirty or coroded.

There is a possibility that teh contacts ar dirty or the circuit itself for the keypad is damage.

let me check for parts you may check on to.

to carefully open the unit you will need to use Sanyo's tool or any compatible tool, then open the phone to expose the keypad assembly.

if in case you will need replacement, the keypad is available from sanyo's accessories.

if you are using a new katana you can either memorize or write down teh button sequence to navigate to the bluetooth settings that need to be changed for the data transfer to occur. thats what i had to do with mine after i ran it over with a snow plow. phone still works just no display... and its in two pieces. it took about an hour to get it all right, but it should work.

Can i insert a memory card to my katana 2 cellular phone?

The Katana II is a good durable phone and well priced, has a 21 Mb internal memory but, does not sport a memory card slot. It is not a GSM phone and therefore does not utilize a SIM card. So the answer is no. You can, however, download your data to a computer from a memory card such as a SIM, SD, Micro SD, Memory Stick (Sony), XD, or CF using software tools, the proper USB cable, and a Digital Concepts 6 slot card reader or the like, and then upload them to your Katana II. The only limitation is the size of the internal memory. If I did not work at a cell repair shop with all the goodies available, I would take it to a service store and pay the pros. It can get a little tricky.

Six months is well under the manufacturer warranty. Call Sprint or take it into a store.
