How old are the remotes relative to the TV in question? If the remotes are older than the TV or were programmed within 6 months of this TV being released, then the code you need wasn't included in the remote's programming. In addition, unfortunately, many universal remotes do not work on combination TVs (with the DVD player and VCR built-in).
You can try to search through all the codes for the remote if your remotes have that feature. (On RCA remotes, turn on the TV, press and hold the Code Search button until the indicator light comes on, then press and release the TV button. Then press the On/Off button repeatedly until the TV turns off. Press Enter and see if the other functions of the remote work. If they do not, repeat the search. Then do the same but press the DVD and VCR buttons instead of the TV button.)
More likely you need a newer universal remote, a programmable (via computer USB) universal remote or a substitute remote from the manufacturer. See
http://www.remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=gmi&uuid=12845952409830&smodel=TDC2075&brand_pn=SANSUI_TDC2075 for an exact substitute remote that will replace the original remote.
I hope this helps.
