Dvd movies required codecs according to different format so try to download divx codec which is very good and commonly used from www.divx.com and its free or click here http://www.divx.com/divx/windows/download/index.php
run it and enjoy

I have lg dvd r/w in my P3 System but I am facing three problems. 1) Dvd is not playing the movies normally, that is movie is coming in a breaking manner. 2) whenever I am trying to do something to that...

It sounds to me like your computer system is not up to the task of watching DVD movies. It is a P3 and as your computer plays movies in a breaking manner it shows that the graphics performance is very low. In fact the overall system performance in very low.

The solution is to save up for a faster PC that you can afford, It doesn't need to be new it can be second hand, it must just be able to do what you require it to do.

A cheaper solution is to find and install a compatable Graphics Card for your computer, this will increase the overall performance of your computer.

I am deeply sorry for this sad information.
Wishing you all the best!

I can burn movies onto my pc & make a cd ,they don't work

it's because you are using cd to burn the movies on to and not dvd. your dvd will only read movies from dvd. I know it seems like if you put movies on a cd it should read in a dvd player, but since its not on dvd disk, then it will not play.

DVD movies not playing but CD-ROM games and CD's do?

With the disk inserted, 1) double-click on MyComputer, 2) right-click on the DVD, and select Auto Play from the resulting menu; a window will appear, 3) click on your favorite DVD playing software and 4) check the little box below to do the same every time you insert a movie (as it used to be).

Cd- rom is not reading DVD movies

It may be that you don't have a DVD Decoder program installed. Look at the disks that came with the computer and see if one of them needs to be installed. The disk should be printed with information as to what is on the disk.

The problem you are having is the DVD player. Not all DVD players will play a burned DVD. Some set top DVD players are know for being very picky about what type of DVD's they will play, and Phillips is very bad about this.

If you have the owners manual for the DVD player, look inside and see what type of disc's are playable. if it should play them DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R. DVD+RW should all be listed.

Right now about 80% of DVD players do not play burned DVD's

In time they all will play them, but for some unknownn reason, some are still made without this ability.

Also, not all DVD-R's are created equal.

The best quality of DVD's to buy for burning are Taiyo Yuden. But Sony, memorex, and Maxell are also pretty good.

One way to be certain about the quality of the burned DVD's is to take one to a friends house or anybody you know who has a set top DVD player and see if it plays in their DVD player.

That will at least tell you if the DVD's you are burning are at fault or not. But my guess is that you r Phillips is the culprit here.

I hope this was helpful to you, if so a good rating would really be appreciated.

I have been buring DVD's since they started selling them for the PC. compatibility has been the only problem I have had.
My sony DVD player plays everything I throw at it.

Burned dvd off of my computer it willl play on computer but no on regular dvd player

your dvd player probably doesnt support the disk you burned the movie on. or then you did it wrong, the movies need to be converted into dvd movies first.
