Ok I had this happen to me short story simple it was a wedding and one guy was getting out of hand and I ended up in the pond.

ok this might not work but we will see..

gotta dry it out as much as possible do not do anything to it try to turn it on or anything

remove the batteries and any installed cards

find a nice warm spot for it.

use a blow dryer

I let mine dry for a day and nothing let it sit for a week in a really warm spot and it worked.

this might not work for you but if you have pictures on your camera then hopefully it will allow you to remove the pictures from your internal memory.

good luck and keep me posted.

What will happen when you drop a banana in some water will it have the same effects as when u drop potassium in some water

Short answer, No.

The potassium in a banana is not in the same concentration nor is it purified.

It is similar to how karoseen come from crude oil. a match in the oil will simply go out. The karoseen on the other hand will burst into flames.

When my sony camera was drop in the water there is possible to repair it? my sony camera was drop in the sea water. its possible to repair?

Highly unlikely that it can be repaired, salt water caused corrosion and will short out electronic components when the battery is connected.
I suggest you put your money towards a new camera.

Dropped Canon PowerShot into salt water

You're not going to like my answer. Salt water is very corrosive. Once it gets into a camera, even if you allow the moisture to dry out, will continue to corrode the camera and lens elements. Repair shops will not even touch a camera that has been dropped in salt water.

Dropped my cannon sd 1400is in water. Its dry now but will not turn on. I see that the indicator light is on though when I put the battery in.

Even if it was dropped in fresh water, there are chemicals in the water that will cause electrical shorts inside the camera and cause the circuitry not to function. At this point it may not be economical to repair.

Lence will not come out.

If the lens was misaligned during the fall, that would explain an error like that. It sounds like it is not well in any case. Time for a new camera maybe... :(

Camera Dropped in Water Fountain-Won't Work

If you dry it out you may get it to work but I think the cards are stacked against you. The lens will be junk when the water gets into it. You would be better off to go on Ebay or Amazon and buy another used camera.

Sanyo Xacti S650 Digital Camera

Wait for it to completely dry out. If you still have the same problem, the circuitry is probably damaged because of the water.
Contact Sanyo tech support and see if you can get it replaced under warranty. (Dont mention that you dropped it in water, though :)
