There are instructions in the owner's manual about changing this code.
The most important part of those include a seven digit "key" that is a
stamped piece of metal that comes with the car/owner's manual upon
purchase.
I don't have the manual with me right now, but I can
post the exact steps later. If you don't have the "key", they won't do
you any good though.
look under the dash on the
passenger side of your car to find a gold/bronze colored box. This is
the control module for the keypad. Put your head in the floorboard, face
up toward the dash. Look over your left shoulder and you should see it.
Someone else told me (after the fact) that you can take out a few
screws and the glove box will come out and you don't have to get upside
down to find it.
Anyway, on the front of this gold box there
is a sticker with numbers. The 7 digit number is the master code to your
keypad. Write it down. Go to your keypad, press the ST pad and then put
in the code. If you have done it correctly, you will hear a 6 second
beep. While it is making this long beep, enter your personal code. I
can't remember offhand if it has to be 4 digits, but mine is, so just go
with that. ;) After you enter the code and the beep stops, you should
be able to press ST, then your personal code and then the corresponding
pads to unlock the doors, roll windows down, open trunk, etc... If your
battery is disconnected for an extended length of time you will have to
re-enter your code following the same steps as the first time.
I hope this helps.
