I have tried multiple webcams and all have the same problem. No matter what usb port I plug it into windows recognizes it as a CRS Photo Scanner! Help!

My computer says the scanner is not connected. I have checked all cables, everything is connected properly. I have tried using different ports and still nothing.

1. Drive unloaded, sometimes drive installed on the scanner can not find, can allow the scanner to find the driver, first drive optical disc into the optical drive for a moment, and then plug in the data cable power line, and then the scanner power supply, according to the instructions can be operated.

2. The scanner first installs the driver, then connects the usb wire. The connection will not be checked until the power switch indicator is on, or the computer will not recognize the hardware.

Try attaching the scanner directly to the computer. If this works, the problem is obviously in the hub. Many scanners will not work if attached to a bus-powered hub. If you have a self-powered (with a power transformer) hub, double check that the power transformer is working (it should be warm).

OK try this uninstall the usb ports in the device manager and restart your comp
the usb port will get loaded again and maybe the usb camera will get detected

HP DIRECTOR NOT WORKING

the director will appear to not be working if the scanner is not installed and recognized by Windows. A scanner icon will appear on the desktop if it is recognized by Windows.
One likely reason it isn't being recognized is the power supply isn't putting out enough current, 1.25A, to force the correct signal level through the USB port. If the power supply is old, not plugged directly into the wall, or a substitute with the wrong current rating, the scanner will not send enough power through the USB port.

It can be quite frustrating. I've heard that older computers are more likely to have the USB device not recognized message.

Windows XP does not recognize the Handheld scanner.

My guess is that the USB hub needs to be plugged in ... if for some reason the usb hub doesn't allow you to plug it in then you need to get one that you can plug in... because I believe the scanner is using more power that the usb port can power. Scanner usually need to be plugged directly into the computer or they need to be plugged into a powered hub.

If you are using a multi port USB adapter that allows you to plug many devices into one USB port it may interfere with the scanner. Try uninstalling your Epson driver then download the newest one from the Epson website. http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?oid=88368&prodoid=63070478&BV_UseBVCookie=yes&infoType=Downloads&platform=All&x=27&y=14

Install the newest driver first then plug your scanner into a single USB port on the computer instead of the multi port.

The USB interface of the scanner may be defective.

Also the drivers loading on your PC's may not be proper.

I'd see if there are any updates for your drivers. If there are then update them. If that doesn't work then do a thorough scan of your system with an anti-virus program.

1st You download Webcam Driver.
webcam driver After this install the Webcam driver in the system.
Installation of Webcam Driver
Go to the control panel
Click on the System Icon
Click on the Hardware Tab
Click on the Device Manager s
Select the Unknown Device or printer device where yellow Question Marks sign on it.
Right click on it and uninstall it.
After this go to the top of the device manager and click on scan for hardware changes.
Driver installation Wizard start.
Brows Your Driver from the Hard Disk and click on next.
Driver will be install.
