Question about Dell Inspiron 1501 Notebook
When i use my media player 11, i will watch a video and the screen will stop but the sound keeps on, then at the bottom there is an error message......display driver r300 has stopped responding and has recovered, how do i fix this I have the same problem when running movies from youtube in full screen. A solution that works for me is setting the colordepth to 16 bit. Not an ideal solution but at least I get to watch the videos full screen
First try uninstalling the r300 driver from the device manager, then reboot. The machine will find and reinstall the driver automatically. Then adjust the hardware acceleration to the highest setting. If these don't work, then go to filehippo.com or download.com and download a couple of video playing software programs. On second thought, go ahead and down load the video software, it won't hurt anything, all it will do is help. Look under the video section at these sites, and download the video players for the internet. This software aids in watching internet based video.

Thanks very much. What I tried yesterday is setting hardware acceleration to none (was a flash movie type) and now it runs fine. Still don't get it, but I'm glad it solved it.
