Have you put the blank labels in the bypass tray?
If you have, the unit is not seeing the media in the bypass tray

Sharp mx3110n printer won't use bypass tray? Trying to print on glossy paper using that tray and it won't, it automatically switches to tray 1. Or can I just put glossy paper in tray 1?

Hello Laura,
Here is the pdf that explains how to set up th bypass tray; http://support.appstate.edu/sites/support.appstate.edu/files/MX3110%20USE%20SPECIAL%20PAPER%20IN%20THE%20BYPASS.pdf

The text of it is as follows;

TO USE SPECIAL PAPER IN THE BYPASS
? Press either the picture of the copier or press
paper select
? Load paper in the bypass
? Make sure the correct size shows up under
bypass tray
? If paper is not just plain paper press type and
size
? Choose paper type
? If you are printing to the bypass from your
computer you must also tell the print driver
under the paper tab what type of paper is in
the bypass if its not just plain paper
? The copier and the PC must match paper
types
? Press the X button to Accept

Good Luck!

How do I print labels, envelopes or any non statement size item? Have tried using bypass and all I get is an error message. I had the people where we bought the machine come back and see if they could get...

Hi, wich kind of error message?
Is it " check paper size" or " paper jam" or ...
Does the paper goes all the way trough copier or jams at bypass, at drum or fixing section,...
Did you "tell" over pc drivers that you are want to print on labels, that the lables are eg. A4, that pick up paper from bypass,...
It could also be a problem in pick up clutch and solenoid, or it just needs to clean the bypass pickup roller,...

Ricoh Aficio 2035 all-in-one laser won't print from Bypass Tray

there are two places to set the paper tray on the ricoh aficio 2035 print drivers first make sure you are using the PCL 5 drivers not pcl6 or rpcs then go to the printers folder and set the defaults by right clicking the printer and selecting properties printing preferences, then go into word and select print set up and properties then defaults for printer select bypass tray and select labels enter the correct sheet size for the labels from the drop down box click apply and you should be set.
if this resolves your issue please rate my anser accordingly

Printing labels on Ricoh 1224C copier

Labels should only be printed through the bypass tray. when printing, go to "properties", "Paper" and change tray from "auto select" to "Bypass tray"

STACK BYPASS option causes LOAD PAPER message & no print

1-did you change to bypass instead of trays in the menu?
2-the sensor (black lever in the bypass that triggers the sensor) is missing or bad

Printer Jam - when i put a sheet of Avery labels, printer jams

When you say TOP TRAY, do you mean a paper drawer, or the BYPASS TRAY? If the labels won't feed into the bypass but bond paper does, check to see if your labels are made for inkjet printers. Go to www.avery.com and contact Avery customer support to see what product they recommend for your MFC. Labels made for plain paper printers sometimes do not work for inkjets, and vice-a-versa.

Tray 1- load plain letter

Linda,

On printer check media/paper type tray 2 or 3 is plain and tray 2/3 is set for letter paper size too, via printer control panel. Also check under paper handling other options for tray 1, also on tray 2 and 3, I think there is a blue little round switch on left should be set as letter not custom.

Some paper types cannot be feed from anywhere else but tray1/bypass ie labels/laminate/card stock.

Check print driver on pc has tray 3 option installed and is not set as default to print to manual bypass/tray 1

light flashing cause printer wants paper type/size that it "thinks" it hasn't got in tray 2/3

If that dont cover it...post back
