If you don't have a radiator cap or a cap in the upper radiator hose, you have to add through the Overflow. Cavaliers are this way. It takes forever to burp the air out of them. Be careful that you don't stop before all of the air is out. An aid pocket in the cyl head will damage your engine.

I have a 2008 pt cruiser, i don't know where to add water... does anyone know or are there any demonstrations that would be helpful to me?

Kecia, where are you putting in the coolant, that is where you want to add distilled water. Save yourself some trouble and buy premixed coolant then you do not have to add water. If not using premixed coolant, mix coolant and water 50/50, or half distilled water half coolant before you pour it in cooling system. It also sounds like you are having a overheating issue which you should have looked at sooner then later. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

Where is the coolant resivor to fill in a Nissan ultima 2002

open the hood look on the passenger side behind the headlight . check your owners manual for the correct coolant type for you vehicle don't just put water in it . that could mess up the coolant that's already in there . most vehicles from 2000 and up use 100k coolant in them now if water or 50/50 mix is put in the coolant just became 3 year 30k coolant and can mess up your coolant system warranty . WHAT YOU MIGHT DO IS TAKE IT TO THE DEALER SHIP FOR AN OIL CHANGE THEY WILL CHECK ALL YOUR CARS LEVELS AND LET YOU KNOW IF ANYTHING NEDS TO BE DONE THEY SHOULD PUT ANY COOLANT IN THE YOUR CAR IF NEEDED.
