Blue tint means taht you may have bad video cable or bent pins, check both ends of the video cable first and also try flexing the video cable to see if the problem will gome and go.

Did you try this monitor with another PC and already verify that the VGA cable is OK.
Common problem with Princeton monitors are due to bad DC filter capacitors in the power supply board, see example here:

I have a blue green tint on my desktop Dell? SE198WFP Flat Panel Color Monitor, its a dell OptiPlex GX260 , I assume I had a bad monitor at 1st , I hooked that same monitor to a different desktop the...

This blue green tint appears when a magnet is close to the monitor. Find devices having a magnet which is close to the desktop. This might be the problem. Take devices having magnets away and i guess things should be fine.

The monitor has now got a blue tint I have checked the lead

Your monitor has a menu system that will allow you to access the color guns so you can adjust the red, blue, green guns that create the color picture.

The blue tint may indicate that you need to adjust teh reg and green to offset OR it may indicate that you have lost the red gun all together.

If this is an older monitor and you are considering repair... cost points say it is cheaper to buy a monitor ~$60 bucks

My monitor now has a blue tint to it and everything i put onto the monitor has a blue tint i tried to fix it by changing the colors but it doesnt help

Looks like u have lost one or more of the color channels (RGB) make sure the video cable is plugged in securley (both ends computer and monitor) and locked down with the screws, restart the computer and monitor. If this fails check video card and then monitor, can u plug the monitor into another computer this will determine if the monitor is ok or not. If monitor is ok then problem most likley will be the video card.

Monitor color problem

there should be color adjustments in your menu.
also i don't think its the cable if its blue, cuz, if you was miss just blue it would not be blue. and if you had red and green it would not be blue. some video cards have settings to adjust the color in the driver settings or display properties. good luck.

Monitor is blue-evrything has a blue tint-i can see colors, they just have a ble tint

I've found that strange color tints are usually the result of a loose cable connection, either at the computer end of the monitor end.

Try unplugging both ends, and then replugging both nice and securely (might even try reversing the direction of the cable, if it is a simple VGA-VGA cable).
