Question about Saeco Incanto Classic Espresso Machine

1 Answer

Slow output Our machine is 4 years old and is getting tempermental. The output is sometimes very slow. I descaled and degreased the machine but the output is still inconsistent. For example this morning I selected a double shot and only a few drips came out. I took out the brew unit and rinsed it off. Same results. The discarded puck was moist, so water is gettiing that far. I then tried doing a preground shot and had the same results. I then took the brew unit out again and REALLY rinsed it off. The coffee then flowed normally. This has happened before. Do I have to thoroughly rinse the brew unit before every cup, or is there some other solultion? Please email me at: [email protected] Thank you, Kate Allard

This usually means this unit is toast:(. if off warrenty you might need to buy a new one. try getting a comercial b140 or 150 as they are a little more robust.

We have a five year old Gaggia Titanium regularly descaled. In recent weeks the flow of coffee has considerably slowed to a drip and we now get a message saying 'Brew Unit Missing'. The machine also now...

Remove the brew unit, find the 2 screws above the top shower the connects the discharge tube to spout. Remove screws and carefully remove spring and ball some have a plastic seat at end of spring. Clean tube make sure there is no coffee grounds blocking tube, reassemble and test.

I only get foam after 4 Shots

The only thing that comes to mind is descaling. To me it seems that most of the boiler room is being lost to minerals, so there is less water in there. Try descaling the machine.

You will need to Descale the Machines. Most likely calcium bulidup inside machine.

Slow Brew...calcium

It is possible you need to use descaling solution and perform another descale. Are you using a good descaler? I recommend Parts Guru Best Descaler, instead of something like Dezcal. Do you know which hoses you pulled off? The very thin ones should never have bean fragments, but the bigger silicone tube from the water tank may accidently have some fragments. These can clog the flow meter and decrease the coffee output as well as the steam output. But usually the machine will give a Ventilate warning and not put out any water. Look on the Parts Guru website for machine diagrams.

Little pressure

Have you been descaling your machine? If not, there you go, the calcium buildup is clogging your group head. It might be too late depending on how much buildup there is. Try descaling first and see how that works out. Then descale one a month for three months then go on to the normal cleaning schedule of every 2-3 months.
