Try opening the installer as an administrator. This should be as simple as right-clicking the installer and selecting "Open as administrator". Otherwise, try using CCleaner and/or Revo Uninstaller to get rid of stuff left behind from the last installation.

Can notr get google

Google Chrome is a free Internet browser made by Google.
It can be used on computers running the Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems.
If you are having problems with Google Chrome (slow connection, freezes or crashes), you should consider reinstalling the program.
To reinstall Google Chrome, you need to first uninstall the program.
After that, you can reinstall it by using the following directions.

Go to http://www.google.com/chrome to download the browser.
Select "Download Google Chrome."
Read the service terms and select "Accept and Install."
You cannot install Google Chrome without accepting the terms of service.
Select "OK". This will open the package.
Select "Install Package" and allow the installation to complete.
Choose "Close."
In order to open Google Chrome, you must go to "Applications," then select "Internet" and choose "Google Chrome."
Reinstall Google on A Windows Computer
Go to http://www.google.com/chrome to download the browser.
Select "Download Google Chrome."
Read the service terms and then select "Accept and Install."
You cannot install Google without accepting the terms of service.
After you accept, the installation will begin automatically.
Allow the installation to finish.
A dialog box will appear
Select "Start Google Chrome".
That will complete its installation and the browser will open automatically.
Reinstall Google on a Mac Computer
Go to http://www.google.com/chrome to download the browser.
Select "Download Google Chrome."
Read the service terms and then select "Accept and Install."
As with the other operating systems, you can't install Google Chrome without accepting the terms of service.
Open the file labeled "Google Chrome.dmg."
A Google Chrome window will open up.
Drag that Chrome icon from the window that opened up to the desktop.
This will start installation.
Open the browser.
The Finder will have you confirm that you want to open the application you downloaded from the Internet.
Select "Open."
You must select this to open the program.
Unlike Windows computers, Macs don't automatically open programs after installation.

Cannot open Google Chrome

you need to perform a full manual uninstall of chrome. sounds like you know your way around a computer, you should go ahead and give this a shot (be sure to delete the folder on the last step)
most of chrome resides in a folder under your user account directory. getting rid of the bad install and then re installing the latest version of chrome from google should set you straight.

When I installed google chrome again an error appeared naming "the application was unable to start correctly (0*c00000a5). Click OK to close the application". I uninstalled it becuase the same...

That seems to happen when people mix 64-bit and 32-bit environments; either you're using RunAs in a weird way or the Intel exception BAD_IMPERSONATION_LEVEL (which you got; it's not about you, though) is your particular installation of Windows' way of whining that MSIE should be tops on your list. Maybe you need to pick a different version (e.g. 32bit) of Chrome...usually if you install on the same machine you downloaded chrome by (from chrome.google.com) you should be fine, though!

It's pretty logical for a program you uninstalled to not run anymore, on the other hand. You get to reinstall chrome from a new download and see if things improve.

You might want to try restoring your system (using "System Restore") to a day when you remember the application running correctly. If you cannot do this than yes you will have to uninstall/ reinstall the application. Thanks, Dana

Shortcut problem after Google Chrome uninstall

I had the same problem. Go to Tools on the menu bar in Internet Explorer. There should be an option underneath Internet Options to "restore original internet defaults". All my desktop shortcuts are working now.

Chrome is not shiney and won't uninstall or install

You can remove Google Chrome like any other Windows program. Follow these steps: Click the Start menu on your computer taskbar.
Select All Programs.
Select Google Chrome.
Select Uninstall Google Chrome.
Click the Yes button in the confirmation dialog box.

The uninstall process will begin and all your Google Chrome browser and application shortcuts will also be removed.
Alternatively, you can double-click Add or Remove programs in Window XP's Control Panel or Programs and Features in Windows Vista, select Google Chrome in the list, and click the Remove button.

Google Chrome leaves behind your profile information in case you wish to reinstall in the future. To delete this information, go to \Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome in Windows XP or \Documents and Settings\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome in Windows Vista.
