But unfortunately your device does not seem to support the battery pack although Sony sells them as an upgrade for your unit. Click HERE to see the three most common Sony replacement batteries for that device. Looking closely, i believe you may have a unit the is not throwing you the correct amount of power. Apply a voltmeter in DC to the two battery terminals and you should get 8.4 volts. If your reading is any more than .4volts difference contact Sony as you battery has malfunctioned. If it tests good, still call them and let them know that your handheld is not accepting it......They are designed to be compatible and Sony is VERY GOOD at replacing or repairing devices that aren't performing to their standards.
