PC Restore or some thing like exist on a hidden partition on your hard drive that contains an exact copy of your computer's original setup. These programs allow you to reset your computer's operating system and software to the original state in which it was shipped to you.
Do the following actions to remove the recovery partition from the hard drive. WARNING: The drive will be reformatted and all user data erased. This action is not recommended. Be sure to create a set of recovery disks BEFORE performing this action. Turn on the PC and repeatedly press the F11 key when the HP or Dell or the computer Manufacturer logo appears

How do I log in into my computer using Windows 7 Ultimate if my administrator password was reset?

Go to a shop and ask them to reset the password for you.
Alternatively purchase a password reset program available on the internet, just google it.

LOST PASSWORD DELL INSPIRON 6000

Often many users will leave the administrator account alone or have other accounts with administrator rights. If you're not logging into the computer as administrator or have other accounts follow the below steps to reset your other accounts password.

Reboot the computer into Safe Mode

restart your computer continuosly tapp the F8 key

When logging into Safe Mode you should be prompted with an option to what account you wish to use. Select the Administrator account. If prompted for a password try pressing Enter on the keyboard for no password. If this does not work, try other passwords you may have used. If you're unable to log into the Administrator account skip to the next suggestion.

Once you've logged into the Administrator account open Control Panel and User Accounts.

In User Accounts select the account you wish to change the password for, click change password and then enter the new password or click remove the password to remove the password from the account.

hope it helps

I"ve created a password on

You can salvage your old user account by logging on as the "Administrator" user. Once you're logged in as the admin, you can reset your old user password. The Administrator user (by default) is similar to a "superuser" and has the highest access level to reset any user password.
If you don't know what your Administrator password is, you can reset that by rebooting into Safe Mode.

The best option here is to reset your account password. You can do this using either 1 of the 2 methods suggested by Microsoft Knowledge Base article #321305. In my opinion, the second method described on this page is most likely the easiest route:
Reboot Windows in Safe Mode.
Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type the following command, and then click OK: control userpasswords2
Click the user account that you forgot the password for, and then click Reset Password.
Type a new password in both the New password and the Confirm new password boxes, and then click OK.
Good luck!
Side note: To access Safe Mode, Click Start -> Shutdown (or Turn Off), and choose 'Restart'. Once the computer restarts, press F8 repeatedly on the keyboard until a Boot Menu appear (this *must* be done before the Windows boot screen appears). Finally, choose to boot Windows in Safe Mode and press Enter on the keyboard.

Don't know the password to log on

Restart the computer in safe mode. (turn off the computer and keep hitting f8 until the safe mode screen come up)

Sign on as administrator (assuming there is no administrative password)

If you can get in, you can create a new user. Then restart and log on as the new user and you will have to copy your documents over from the old account to the new account.

You will find the in the C drive under documents and settings and whatever user name you had before.

Log In password lost

There a couple things you can try.
1.Since the true Administrator is disabled by default, if you only had one
"administrative" user account created and you've forgotten the password
to it, try starting the computer
in Safe Mode. Supposedly this will
enable the built-in Administrator account for the one session. The
default password may be a blank. Get into Safe Mode by repeatedly
tapping the F8 key as the computer is starting up. If this works for
you, create at least a few extra user accounts for emergencies. I
usually create at least three accounts on client machines: one standard
user for every day work, two administrative users for emergencies.

2. Go to this site: http://www.password-changer.com/ download the free demo and this will help you fix the password.

Administrator log in problem

Log in using the account name "Administrator".
If you do not have the password, reset it and try again.

Another option is to use " runas /USER: admnistrator install.exe " in a cmd window.
to launch the install program under admin account.
