Problem for LG (GDR8164B) Internal DVD Drive
Can not use the 5.1 surround sound system
I have a brand new LG DVD model HT503TH and a Acoustic Solutions TV Model LCD40F1080P and I can get them to play though the 5.1 system. They are connected via a HMDI connection. When playing a DVD the sound comes through the 3 TV speakers and my front 2 speakers of my setup. When playing TV programmes only the 3 TV speakers are working. The DVD plays radio thru my front speakers OK. All speakers and the subwoofer are working on the DVD setup test. The only hope I have a present is to try thru the opical connection but I don't have a optical connection on my tele. Can anyone help

- Yes I have the same problem. I connected my TVix m6500A optical out to my HT503Th player. configured my Tvix to have optical out. Also I configured my HT503TH to receive input from optical in. i have the LG home theater ht503th, i have a problem,it doesnt read this format,dvd,divx,vcd,mpeg usb etc only cd music,where can i find the driver or what needs to make reading that the formats please, do u know anybody where can i find that,if u can ,u can write me in my e-mail rasimhamza62@hotmail.com
