I do not find the lan icon in my control panel. The device manager shows yellow question mark for the ethernet devices. I have a HCL Ezeebee desktop, the serial number is - "A094AC156093". I am unable to connect to the internet.

try changing your LAN card or try trouble shooting using help problem will be solve...........

When you plugged in the ethernet cable, does it show on your windows tray (lower right corner of the screen) that the LAN is connected? It should show you "Connected" if you hover your mouse on the LAN icon.

Try also to plug in the ethernet cable to a different port on the router, and that the port number on the router is showing a solid green led light.

If all has been observed and still you cannot connect, look if the network adapter for your lan is working. RIGHT click your My Computer or "Computer" and select Manage. The Computer Management window will open. Click on the Device Manager on the left to show the list of devices on the right. Look for Network Adapters and click the + sign. See if your LAN adapter is not showing any yellow exclamation point. Also, right click on it and select Properties. You should see the device is working properly under status.

control panel admistrive tools,computer management,device manager scroll down network adapters +expand Ethernet driver right click update driver,disable,uninstall or select properties general you can trobleshoot or driver to update,rollback or uninstall
a yellow? means you need to install/update driver right click to install driver

Here are the stpes that you can try..Go to Device Manger select ethernet controller, then right click, select Properties and then select Uninstall. After this re-install your Ethernet driver. The yellow question mark means that the computer is not detecting the device.

When you look at the Manage Network Connections link on the Network and Sharing Center you do not see
Local Area Connection?
Do you see Wireless Network connection?
You need to check the device manager to see if the card has been disabled.

It should show two entries with no red or yellow marks. One for wireless (WLAN) and one for wired (Ethernet)

Installation of Sound Card.

• Go to the control panel
• Click on the System Icon
• Click on the Hardware Tab
• Click on the Device Manager then
• Select the Multimedia Controller or Audio Control the yellow Question Marks sign on it.
• Right click on Multimedia Controller and uninstall it.
• After this go to the top of the device manager and click on scan for hardware changes.
• Driver installation Wizard start.
• Brows Your Driver from the Hard Disk and click on next.
• Driver will be install
• if the problem is still exist.
• Replace the sound card or have a local tech take a look at the sound card.

After installing the operating system you have to run the mother board driver disc , which will provided with the PC pack itself. or else if you have cd and also not detecting the driver means follow this , right click the my computer goto properties goto hardware and select device manager in that you can see a small speaker shaped icon with yellow color ques mark , by right clicking the specific icon goto update driver option and goto "yes this time only" option and next, select "manaully search" option you will find a window in that enable the browse option , so you can locate it to *********** board cd location and then click next to analyse the disk and ask you continue anyway option if u proceed you can fix it.
