More specifics always helps. have you opened the case to see if you can identify the specific parts that are causing the noise.

sounds like your hard drive became corrupt by virus or malware, or you were very low of disk space. your probably going to have to reformat your hard drive most will say go to system repair when you reinstall windows, but I always feel a full format is the safest way, because repairing your pc will not remove the virus vs. formatting

Crackling Sound With Soundblaster Cards

This seems like a strange problem with Windows XP. Some users are noticing scratchy, popping sound with their SoundBlaster cards and Windows XP..I have come to the conclusion that this is happening the most often on PC's that contain RAID setups such as a Highpoint controller.

The main fix I have come across is to install Raid drivers OTHER than those that shipped with Windows XP. For instance on my Raid setup, I went back to a older Windows 2000 driver and this has almost completely stopped my sound problems.

Trying to reformat my hp pavilion a1520n. An error comes up <windowsroot> system32\ntoskrnl.exe. I am planning on upgrading from an xp to a vista but the computer seems like it won't accept...

It sounds a little strange because it should do as the disk tells it.
Check the BIOS is set for DVD/CD Rom drive as 1st boot device.
Insert System disk into drive. Re boot the computer and follow the on screen prompts.
Vista will have no problems because it will check the OS that is installed, notice the date stamp is older than Vista and install a new OS on the drive. XP however may have a problem. If you have SP2 or SP3 installed, your XP system disk is older and will not be allowed to load without prompting.
Hope that helps.

Hard drive is very hot and sounds stranges

Hard drives typically run pretty hot and have a cooling fan to make sure they don't overheat. The fan vent are easily clogged with dust that can build up to make the fan almost useless. Power off the computer and let it sit idle for about an hour and unplug power cord then open the case. Carefully brush away dust that has accumulated inside the case, making sure to clear the vents around the harddrive and the power supply. If the harddrive continues to make strange noises, I would strongly recommend making a full backup and get a new harddrive ready. When it comes to harddrive crashes it's not 'if' but 'when'. It will eventually crash, and true to 'Murphys' Law' it will crash when you most need it.

The sound of my computers audio is strange. The computer is Acer Aspire E380 with Realtek High Definition sound card. Can anybody help me?

Try this, double click on the realtek HD audio icon on the system tray (orange speaker), click the effects tab, check if there's an active sound effect, change the effect to none, this should return the audio back to normal. Otherwise, either there's a problem with the speaker or on-board sound card.

Flat screen monitor functioning strangely

Sounds like there maybe bad caps on the power board in the LCD. Try a different monitor on your computer and if the known working monitor comes on with the computer and behaves properly then you know its a problem with your original monitor. If the known working monitor acts strange as well then you know its a problem with the video card. Let me know what happens.

Information and help

It sounds like you have just recently installed a fresh copy of windows, I would suggest reinstalling again. If not, you can try re-downloading your driver from another location. (My link)

http://www.soundcard-drivers.com/drivers/192/192171.htm

This is a software error message that can be interpreted as such or it can show potential hardware problems. Were you getting a lot of strange errors prior to reinstalling windows? It could be a problem with your math co-processor, memory, hard drive or even low voltages on your power supply. This one may take a bit of work. Good luck

Computer making strange noise

This is not a problem most people experience this. Its just your fan making noise monstly because it is touching some wire inside. You don't need to worry about this.
