Question about Dell Inspiron 8200 Notebook
O.k. if you can get to the initial Dell screen, then it's a bad hard drive. If it does nothing, then here are three things that can cause this that you can check, 1- check the power supply with an ohm meter for the proper output, 2- remove the battery, and start with the supply only, and 3- remove the memory, and try each chip one at a time in each slot. If one of these wasn't the problem and it still persists, then the problem will be with the power management system on the motherboard. You can either replace the motherboard, or take it in for a professional diagnostics to find the exact problem component.
