O.k. if you can get to the initial Dell screen, then it's a bad hard drive. If it does nothing, then here are three things that can cause this that you can check, 1- check the power supply with an ohm meter for the proper output, 2- remove the battery, and start with the supply only, and 3- remove the memory, and try each chip one at a time in each slot. If one of these wasn't the problem and it still persists, then the problem will be with the power management system on the motherboard. You can either replace the motherboard, or take it in for a professional diagnostics to find the exact problem component.

Lights won't work on Harbor Breeze ceiling fan

Ceiling fans operated with remote controls, pull chains, and/or wall switches tend to get confused and just fail. You can try disconnecting power at the source and, while pausing briefly, remove batteries from the remote and push all buttons to eliminate the "stuck button" cause. Then, reconnect power and try various combinations of controls until something works or you give up in frustration.

Check to make sure your fan is set on the high speed & the light is at the on possition with the pull chains.

Console lights up but when I press any of the buttons it won't start

I am having same problem. The console lights up but none of the button works, including TV and the fan.

I actually took everything apart, unplugged and re-plugged the connectors on the PCBs of both side of the console, it still didn't help. Looking at the electronic configuration, TV, fan, left and right panels are relatively independent. I believe the driver/motor module is still working, the most likely cause of this is the controller CPU.

Electrical - won't start. Hooked up fan to heater, smoke came out from under the hood, car won't start. Lights work, any key related electrical functions won't work

Your fan or heater likely shorted out and burned up, causing your one of the main fuses to blow due to the spike in current. You will need to determine what burnt up and replace it before replacing the fuse, or you may create a fire hazard or cause further equipment damage. Also double check any changes to wiring to make sure that everything is hooked up properly.

Fan will not work

mcdevito75 here, Most likely yes, Check the fan by carefully turning it just a liitle by hand, also check for heat at the fan motor base, close to the ceiling. If heat or fan won"t start by hand, replace it.
