Question about HP Officejet Pro L7580 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Mirror images only

Printer only prints in mirror image. Not a big deal with photos, but with written text, the result is not legible without a mirror in front of the page.

Very similar problem except only in Fast Economical mode. Went through the solution recommended but that did not work even with the setting set to OFF. Had to contact HP support and even they could not solve it without installing a universal driver for a Deskjet 990C printer. Seems to work fine except for a slower printing speed.

Hopefully you have fixed this problem by now----if not, go to control panel bt clicking start then settings or could be start then control panel. WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR IS THE PRINTERS AND FAXES FOLDER. once you have found that, right click on the HP Officejet Pro L7500 Series (or whatever your printer name is) and choose printing preferences. go to the advance tab. look for mirror image and click on it you will be given a small drop down to toggle it from on to off----choose off and the click on apply and then OK.

I just bought this printer and I have a newer HP Photosmart Plus all in one printer. Unfortunately, I cannot get either printer to print in mirror image. Can you tell me what I need to do to get at least...

Usually you use your software to flip the image before you send the file to the printer. Thus, what program are you using to create the fabric transfers?

This is easiest if you are dealing with an image. Find the command section for layouts and then choose flip or rotate horizontally. For example in Paint, the Rotate drop-down is part of the main ribbon below Crop and Resize. If you are trying to do a line of text, use a drawing program and write the line of text. Select it and then flip it. Write all of the lines of text and repeat the rotation for each one. Similarly do this for any images or lines of images.

When finished, print a test page on regular paper before using the fabric transfer paper.

(Publisher in Office or similar programs will also do this well.)

If you are using images from a file, import it into an appropriate software program to do the rotation then save it to a new file name before printing.

I hope this helps.

(some printers have the mirror image option in the Advanced Settings. Not many of the ones that I have used have the feature.)

Does my inkjet printer have the capacity to reverse image or mirror image--if so, how do I get it to do that?

The capacity for reverse and/or mirror image is in the software program you are using to edit the photos. Once the photos are edited and saved, you printer with print the photo you tell it to print.

Check the printer properties in the printers folder. You may have accidentally clicked on an option that makes the printer print in mirror image.

To solve this problem, you need to set the mirror image to 'off' under the advanced tab of the printing defaults and under the advanced tab of the printing preferences buttons. We had this problem for some time and since doing the above this has stopped.
