Ahh the price of buying a pc with software installed. I think it should be outlawed. You were obviously charged for the operating system when you bought it so where is your CD?
So always make a start up disk and back up ok......
You could try calling the manufacturer of your system. If you don't get the answer you need the first time call again & again. Someone is bound to feel for you. Otherwise you get to pay MicroSoft again and buy another operating system.

Acer Process 4/12 eRecovery Management indicates that the recovery process never finished - you will have to run it all over again.
As for MS Office , it came as a one month trial in your laptop - if you had it for more than that then you bought it. In that case the activation key must still be in your possession, just insert it when asked.
In the absolute worst case (the reinstall never finishes, no matter what you try) you will have to get a separate recovery disk from
https://secure.tx.acer.com/RCDB/Main.aspx?brand=acer
and use it to reinstall.
Silverlight is an separate program that can be downloaded at any time by you from

On my Dell Inspiron 580 it will no longer burn CD-R discs.

If it burns other discs just fine and not CD-R discs, I would suggest you try a few diferent brands of discs. That should alleviate your issue. If it doesn't, its probably a good idea if you just replace the drive completely. You have purchase one from a local electronics retailed for around $30.

Keys stick. Right out of the box the keys stick and you have to start over. Canon MP18D11 bought at Sam's Club.

Take it back to the store further troubleshooting can make it worst and besides that unit still in warranty so Sam's Club can replace it with another one.

Hpcompaq d330 ut has no in put singnal to LCD screen ? is this big trouble to fix as in cost a lot??

Let's check the obvious first...
Make sure monitor cables are attached correctly and securely.
Is the monitor receiving power/turned on?
Assuming monitor was working at some point and not damaged...

Start up PC in safe mode (press F5 key when you see Windows logo at startup). This will use a default VGA driver. If LCD works now, you may need to check for and replace the video driver for the monitor. Go to the manufacturer's website for the monitor. If LCD does not work, I suspect a hardware failure in the LCD monitor.

If this is a new, under warranty, you can take back to place of purchase for an exchange. Receipt may be required. If not under warranty, you may be looking at buying a new monitor. LCD have come down in price. My recommendation would be the Samsung SyncMaster. 15 inch size is cheapest. 17 inch have become very competitive. 19 inch and up can be expensive depending on brand. Watch for sales. Local club stores like Sam's or Costco sometimes have deals, too. Of course, their are online sources too like newegg.com.
