There are safety devices that prevent you opening the door or lid while the
washer is spinning or agitating. This is for your protection, so don't
    circumvent these safety devices.

There are many reasons why the door may be jammed shut -

    1. The water hasn't pumped out properly and the washing machine has a
pneumatic door safety lock (a rubber hose connected to the door
interlock and connected to a pressure chamber bottle on the tub - water
forces air up this tube and locks the door)

    2. Washing machine won't empty water

    3. The water has pumped out properly, but a blockage of gunge inside
the pressure chamber bottle is trapping the air that's operating the
door lock (if a pneumatic lock is fitted - not many have these days due
    to cost cutting)

    4. Door interlock jammed

    5. Door catch, handle, or mechanism broken

    6. ****** (a device that detects the motion of the drive belt fitted to
many older Hotpoint washing machines which "pecks" at the belt when the
door handle or button is operated) is broken or has fallen off

Do not take the lid off and reach inside the washing machine to try and
release the door if the washing machine is still plugged in as you will
    be electrocuted.

I would try to run just the spin cycle again. If that doesn't work, it's time to call the repairman.

    thank you

Check the Lid Switch Assembly with an Ohm meter for continuity, these switches are a common problem. Replace the switch assembly if faulty.

The door is jammed on my LG Intellowasher WD-1023C-Washing Machine - Front loader. It has finished it's wash cycle, but the door won't open

Slide a paint scraper or similar between the machine and the latch side and push it quite hard and it should open. Mine does and I found the fix on this site!

LG Intellowasher (Model WD-1023C)

The water pump can be blocked and thus stop the machine from finishing the wash cycle. In front on the bottom there is as hatch that can be opened with a flat screwdriver, the small black rubber pipe can be used to first drain all the water before the opening the filter. Small objects such as coins coluld be found in here, blocking the pump. Clean the pump by removing these, optionally blowing into the outlet (yuck!), to dislodge anything. If that does not help to fix the problem, you can clean that actual water pump, but this requires you to use a screwdriver to remove the pump.

Tilt the machine on its side, the pump is attached with 3 self-tapping screws. (if you can't figure out what the pump is you should probably let a technician do this). The pump has 2 parts to it, take it apart carefully and clean out all the dirt that has accumulated in there. Plastic friendly, waterproof grease can be applied to the pump spindle and bearing if available.

If the problem still persists a new pump is available from LG at a reasonable cost.

Lg intellowasher wd-8013f is very noisy

it will definitely be the bearings and possibly the spider as well. the spider is attached to the bowl. the spider is made of aluminum and they corrode all the time. open the door to the machine and grab hold of the steel bowl, has it got movement on it. if it has then the spider and bearings are faulty, also the main shaft seal will need replacing.nearly every time i went to an LG 8013f that was noisy it was the bearings and or spider. hope this helps. please reply 4 more help. good luck.

LG INTELLOWASHER DD 7KG DOOR LOCK STAYS ON WAY TO LONG

Never heard of that; I would try a new door latch as I have never had a bad control issue with the operation of the door latch. There is no real way to test it. I can getb you the latch if interested. I cannot see your reply due to some tech issue w/ the site, so it may be a day or so before I can reply again. Please leave feedback for me if appropriate. Thanks

My LG intellowasher DD WM1480 FDH washer displays DE (door open) and refuses to start, if I repeatedly open and close door sometimes it will start or the door will lock and it still doesnt start.

I have this problem too for my LG Intellowasher. I suspect it is because you're selecting "Rinse Hold" from the options. Try turning the power off and washing again on another setting to see if this resolves the issue.
